Only stayed for one night as our flight was cancelled so last minute booking but the staff were very welcoming and the 2 bed suite we booked was beautiful. Breakfast was varied and of really good quality. Would have definitely stayed longer.

The staff, the facilities, the food, the location near the village - all wonderful. There are some very steep climbs around the premises so not really suitable for those with any disabilities without support.

If you are looking for a nice, quiet stay and looking to explore Crete charm is an awesome option, we stayed for 4 nights and couldn't make a better choice.! A small and simple hotel, offering breakfast for free. There was also a mini fridge with reasonably priced drinks. The rooms are recently renovated and very clean. the family that run the hotel are super friendly and gave us very goood recommendations!

Early check-in Arrived 3 hours before regular check-in, but still, they told us that the room is already ready and we can enter immediately.

I stayed at Axel Beach Crete for ten nights as a solo traveller and would happily book it again. It was exactly what I wanted from a Greek holiday: sun, relaxation, good food and a friendly, sociable atmosphere, without ever feeling overwhelming. My Superior Double room was large, quiet, very clean and comfortable, with a balcony and good air conditioning, so it worked perfectly as a base for a longer stay. Over ten nights, the hotel felt consistently well run and easy to settle into. The atmosphere was one of the best parts of the stay: relaxed by day, fun around the pool with a DJ, a great bar, and a hot tub with views of the sea. It has excellent vibes — social enough to be enjoyable as a solo traveller, but still relaxed and comfortable. The staff were a real highlight. Christos, the hotel manager, and Maria, the front office manager, were genuinely helpful and attentive, and made the stay feel personal and well looked after. The barman was also excellent, and the three-course dinners had a lovely Greek taste. The location was a good balance for me: around two minutes’ walk from Hersonissos old town, with lots of restaurants and traditional tavernas, and about five minutes by taxi to the newer beach area, which is also walkable. The beach is not directly on the doorstep, but the hotel makes up for it with atmosphere, staff, food, pool time and easy access to both the old town and the beach area. For a solo traveller looking for comfort, atmosphere, friendly staff and a relaxed adult holiday, I would strongly recommend it.

The staff were super friendly and kind! The atmosphere of this place is so serene and relaxing. It is stylish and bohemian with a great eye for detail. We stayed in a maisonnette which was just perfect when being on holiday with two small kids. The owner of the hotel, Kate was so lovely towards us and our kids treating us like family! I would highly recommend this lovely hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing holiday on Crete.

I’m very satisfied with the choice of this hotel. It’s in the most suitable location, in the city center, close to the main beaches, beach clubs, restaurants and pubs. The bus stop is also nearby. Very easy to navigate and enjoy your rest fully. Room was clean and great. Most importantly I enjoyed the friendliness of the staff, especially Leonidas, thanks for your kindness and all the information.

The hotel is in a very good location, just 50 meters from the main street. It's situated in a quiet area, yet conveniently close to shops, restaurants, and the bus stop. You can easily walk to the nearest villages. The hotel itself is impressively clean, tidy, and well-maintained. The staff is exceptionally responsive and incredibly kind. One highlight was the delicious breakfast served. Additionally, the hotel offers affordable car rental services, which made our exploration of the area much more convenient. The presence of a private pool was a great bonus, providing relaxation options on-site. We're looking forward to returning as soon as possible and will wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to others. It was a wonderful experience! The most exceptional thing was that the owner, Aristotel, helped us with organising a private engagement ceremony in the most wonderful and intimate church in Hersonissos, and that meant more than anything for us, we felt as part of a family. For this wonderful gesture, not a thousand thank yous can express our appreciation!

Lambros, the owner was really hands on. From the day we arrive, till the day we left. everything i asked for was met. fruits and wines for complimentary. kudos to the owner. our room has a really nice view of the beach and the pool at the back. Really good food. kitchen is provided with all the tools u will need to cook. and if ur not the type of person to cook. there is a really nice restaurant beside it. Treff Restaurant. The owner Maria was really nice. i advance to get the seafood platter and their veal chop!!
