The villa was amazing and far exceeded our very high expectations! We had complete privacy with luxurious surroundings. The local area was beautiful. Plomari was an amazing Greek village where you truly felt like you were in the real Greece. They have live music playing in the square on Saturday nights and lots of lovely local restaurants so you will never get bored. Penny was the most hospitable villa manager we have ever met, she truly went above and beyond for us. Penny was always available when needed and provided us with lots of tips and tricks, she even took us to food shopping on our first day as the supermarket was closed on a Sunday and we did not have a car. Regev was also fantastic, he was very responsive and helped me to solve an issue with payment which we encountered prior to arrival. Thank you so much Regev and Penny, we cannot wait to come back.

Plomari and Agios Isidoros have pretty much everything that one could ask for when it comes to enjoying a pleasant holiday in the sun. The Agios Isidoros beach is arguably one of the best on the island of Lesvos. The water is crystal clear and there are great beach bars (we especially liked the one called To Magasaki), a Greek taverna, a gyros place, and an Italian restaurant there. We spent most of our time during our two week holiday on that wonderful beach. The town of Plomari is very charming and has several good places to eat (I would especially recommend the taverna Mama Katerina). The beaches in Plomari itself are also very good but cannot compete with the one in Agios Isidoros. What I particularly like about southern Lesvos is that it has managed to preserve its local charm despite the influx of tourists. The place does not feel overrun by tourists and the locals are generally very appreciative of you being there. The Greeks normally go out of their way to help you.
Plomari is a great place on Lesvos Island. It has great beaches near for swimming, like Tarti Beach. The center is not very big but more of a small fishing village with some morning rush mostly. Locals coming to buy and sell things in the mornings, elders sitting at cafes day long and limited number of tourists walking around gives this village a strong and beautiful character. But above all, it is the Uzo capital of the Island. you can visit plenty of distilleries in and around Plomari. You can taste their products and learn a great deal about Uzo. You can even see their production... Then you can sit at one of the small tavernas on a narrow street and enjoy your meze and uzo for hours long with mostly locals, watching people pass by.... My way of relaxing... But if you are more of a restaurant guy, Plomari also has plenty of sea side restaurants that you can enjoy the sea view at the sunset... Also don't forget to walk into the village and get lost on narrow streets with beautiful old houses.
Plomari is not everyone's first choice on Lesbos, but I have a feeling that may change in the coming years. As well its own Agia Isidoros - voted the seventh best in Greece - there are other blue flag beaches at Tarti, Vatera & Eressos which can all be reached from Plomari by daily boat trips. Then there are all the wonderful restaurants and shops along the sea front and in the back streets. And there are TWO ouzo museums plus the Olive Press museum. Walkers will enjoy trekking in the hills above the town and mountain bikers will enjoy the challenging off-road routes. The main access to Plomari from Mytilini town is by car (ferryboats sail from Athens/Piraeus or Ayvalik in Turkey) and local bus. It's about 40 kilometres away from the port, but the roads are pretty good. If you don't bring your own car or use a taxi, you can hire a car (about 30 euros per day) or simply go on the bus. Many yachts take advantage of Plomari's free harbour. Once you're there, the place is so compact you can get about on foot. Sea bathing is the obvious choice of activity, but Plomari is also good for fishing, for sketching & painting, for exploring (there are out-of-the-way villages & chapels in the surrounding hills), kayaking and canoeing. If you must use the internet, Plomari's municipality provides free wi-fi around the town! There's even a pool hall/bar/internet cafe. Go there before the crowd gets to hear about it!
This precious place is carefully designed and maintained to the wealth of the guests. We enjoyed very much all the facilities- starting from the bedroom bath which overlooks green plants outside, to the open kitchen, the spacious living room with its glass doors overlooking the infinity pool and the olive trees of Plomari. Every day the villa was taking care of by a very nice lady who cleaned and took care of the necessary. The hosts were available anytime we needed them and were pleasent and welcoming. Highly recommended. Adi&Adi&Nur
