I recently stayed at the Hotel and had a fantastic experience. The staff of the hotel were friendly and welcoming,made you feel like home. The room was clean and comfortable and the amenities were top-notch. There is a pool area that you can relax and drink your coctail. In general the hotel's atmosphere was relaxing and rejuvanating but most of all , the staff were very helpful and gave me info about Rethymno city. Would definately stay here again and recommend to friends

Everyone was friendly, was a beautiful room and view. 10 min drive from Rethymno town but a street still with a selection of places to eat. More authentic and out style

It was a perfect short stay with listening to the waves while sleeping. The breakfast was great and the host fantastic! Highly recommended!

This is a very nice, comfortable and clean hotel to stay at. I have read past reviews and can say the breakfast area doesn't look like a school canteen and the food itself is nice. The bathrooms don't smell like sewage and the place is not run down. There was plastic on the beach, but I just went and picked it up and threw it away, the garbage is coming from the ocean and this only happened once. The rooms and bathrooms were clean, I am pregnant so I can smell anything from a mile away, and everything smelled clean. Yes if you get a room by the road you will hear the cars drive pass, but you can still take naps and sleep, it's not that loud, we got later upgraded to an ocean view room and there were amazing views and nice sound of the ocean. The pool area and beach area is very convenient and going to the town is not far away. The staff are very friendly and the management team is running a very good hotel. I would recommend people staying here if they want convenience, rest or a good time.

A boutique modern Hotel, Perfect and Romantic, The location was great a 20 minute walk into the Town, taxis are available as well. The bed was very comfortable with quality linens, the rooms had electric shutters on every window so you could choose how Light or dark you wanted the rooms. The place was really pretty, easy to keep clean, the beach view as perfect, we also loved the shared deck/sun loungers/tables/chairs directly in front of the beach, you basically couldn’t be any closer to the sea. we brought our own drinks from duty free, as no bar. we made a simple breakfast each morning. There’s a supermarket nearby and also a Lidl about a 5 minute ride, good wine is about 6 euros. The area beyond the old town by, the marina is full of young, glamorous/funky bars where you can get great breakfasts and cocktails. We didn’t find it till two days before… head to @livingroomgastrobar and then take it from there..

The best part for sure was our room with jacuzzi in it and the view. Also the pool was great and the all the staff was helpful and really nice. We enjoyed it and we recommend it if you are looking for a nice hotel with a spa, pool, good food and excellent location 10/10

Modern apartments, very clean, excellent design, very friendly staff. Highly recommend!

As soon as you enter, you are greeted by what permeates the hotel, friendliness and quality. The staff are consistently very professional and friendly. Clean and tidy and with a small but very nice pool area. The breakfast room on the fifth floor is probably one of the most beautiful ones with a view worth a visit just for that. The breakfast is also well cooked and the elderly woman who runs it gives clear instructions on, among other things, the cakes she baked herself. It is about 20 min walk down to the beach, a bit hilly but it is an advantage after a good dinner in the evening.

Location is super, friendly staff and the beds are super comfy to sleep in.

Nice small hotel, close to city center. We had room for 3, it was big enough and had very nice balcony. Stuff was nice and helpful, room cleaned every day. Breakfast was typical for 3* hotel, fresh and tasty but same every day. Hotel has small swimming pool but we didn’t use it. Would recommend it!

An oasis in the old town of Rethymno.

I has a nasty fall outside our room. The "maid" saw this and ran to reception to get antiseptic etc and was very helpful cleaning my wounded face. Breakfast had a good buffet selection.

We have nothing but praise for Amalen Suites. The place and the suite met all of our expectations. Generous and delicious breakfast, great room service, clean suite with refined design, exceptionally comfortable bed and a really nice outdoor area with a private pool. The host and all other employees have been very friendly and helpful.  Our stay was a one to remember. Will definitely recommend Amalen and be back in future.

The staff was very professional and friendly helping us with how to explore Rethymno attractions. The room had everything we needed in order to enjoy our stay, while the breakfast was so delicious! We enjoyed the jacuzzi into the pool – added plus! But best of all was the Cocomat mattress, ensuring a super pleasant & relaxing sleep.

The friendliest people work there, always smiling, ready for a chat, but also not pushing it. The rooms are very big and comfortable. The breakfast is very good. And the building with the garden just look amazing. When we arrived we were greeted with refreshments and traditional Greek pastry and the receptionist told us about the city, what to see, where to go, where to eat. We also tried one of the restaurants that they told us and it was amazing. The second night of our stay we wanted to try another but it was completely full - I am sure it is really good. One of the days we needed to leave earlier than the breakfast so they prepared a package for us to take - you could see it was made with love. I would recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to Rethymno.
