Amazing view from the balcony. A/c worked well which was important for the very hot days. Everything we needed was here. Kleanthi even let us check out a little later so we could go to the beach

Plenty of shops and restaurants.
Plenty of shops and restaurants. Lovely beach and excursions to other beaches although costing from 12 to 14 euros per person.
Costs of meals varied worth checking menu and prices.
Extremely busy road and amazed no accidents!
Not a place for children.

You can have a great time on Symi but it depends what you are looking for. It is maybe not as authentic as some of the really small greek islands, but has lots of charm and genuinely good places to eat and drink. Proximity to Rhodes means lots of day-trippers who clog up the town but you can find peace and quiet if you want. There is a small beach in Symi town, but the best are accessed by sea taxi, which are regular and actually a fun way to get about. However if you are after a really laxy holiday where you can roll out of your accomadation onto the beach it might not be for you.

We loved the island.
We loved the island. As the last of the day trippers went home by ferry we felt at peace.
Plenty of restaurants, bars, views, walks. As it was so very hot we didn't see as much of the island as we wanted but had a lovely short break.

I have visited almost all Greek islands, it's the 1st time I encounter such unfriendly people with a few exceptions. Simi is a beautiful picturesque and charming island but the people are lazy, they don't go the exra mile to show they care about the island, like having pots with flowers or cleaning public places. It seems they only care about collecting money, everything is so expensive and overated! Food in Restaurants expensive and not good, they say they offer fresh fish but infarct is frozen, groceries expensive, souvenirs expensive. The island is full with rich Turkish people who arrive with yaughts and locals only care to serve them first as they see easy money. Bare in mind this island is not reccomented for people with mobility problems there are stairs everywhere and no facilities offered. There are no sandy beaches which I knew, but seawater really fresh and clean. Overall I was really disappointed.

Symi is beautiful, stunning beaches, pretty harbour and perfect weather.
We loved Agia Marina and its taverna by day and walking along the beautiful harbour by night. All of the beaches are accessible by taxi boat from the harbour so the town was a great location to stay in. Taxi boats were €-10-15 per return trip depending which beach you visited.
First fo all, Dimitri is one of the kindest person on the planet! I tried to understand the best place to stay in Symi when I was planning my trip. Still now that I am back home, I am not 100% sure of what would have been the best part of Symi to sleep. The town is quite big and spreads all over several hills. For sure Pitini location is strategical cause it is few steps away from bus, taxi, ferry boats, water taxi and all you can have to get around the island. Amazing view of the harbour with the perfect sunset.
Top suite, fantastic views, great Aircon, comfy bed, good furniture on terrace, shade available all day if needed. Shutters on windows to keep light out in early morning.
Attached cafe is great, staff friendly and food good.
Symi is a busy little port, brought a book and 2 magazines to read and never opened them due to watching boats 😂.
Cleaners come in every day and do a great job.
Beautiful, clean, perfectly located hotel in Symi port town. A friendly warm welcome and glorious breakfasts as an optional extra. Our room was small but impeccable and very comfortable and we loved our balcony.
