Featuring free WiFi throughout the property, Nireus Hotel offers accommodations right on Symi Port. Guests can enjoy the on-site bar. The staff were all friendly and helpful but easy going, so I felt at home. The whole place felt comfortable and sweet. The beautiful room. The view. The fact that you could walk out of the hotel and swim in the sea, after which you can sit and enjoy a lovely affogato under the canopy of umbrellas sitting on the water. The breakfast was really good, too. The location is perfect.

Limani Life, Hotel Aliki, and Hotel Fiona got great room view-related reviews from travelers in Symi.
Stellar harbour and watching the daily activity with ferries, sailboats and private yachts was mind boggling. Take the 4 euro local bus to Pedi on your own, great ride and great bus drivers. Take the 8 euro trip to Panormitis through Symi tours. Incredible value and you get to see the interior and the perfect amount of time too. Fantastic views from the mountains. Book it by yourself once you are there. Water was too rough for us take the boat tour around the island unfortunately. It wasn't the greatest food compared to what we ate in Greece two weeks prior to arriving here. But restaurants tend to be more hit and miss I find these days even though the reviews are excellent. It was fascinating to see a totally different island and that is what makes Greece stunning. If you are not a beach person, two nights plenty. We had quite the ferry ride over from Rhodes town so check the weather! Glad we visited Symi!
The arrival on the ferry from Rhodes into Symi port is stunning. Pastel painted houses look amazing and it's picture postcard perfect. Day trip to Santa Marina beach was the highlight of our 2 days on Symi. It was like being on your own private beach in a stunning bay. Only reached via the water taxi and only 10 minute trip. Only one taverna on the beach which served an excellent lunch from the modest menu. The risotto was excellent. The prices the same as in the main port, and the staff were great. We spent the day here and picked up the 5.15 pm boat back to Symi and the hotel Nireous. Will definitely be back and explore the other beaches Symi has to offer.
Symi is a wonderful place but the great surprise for me was its habitants. I loved passing time with the locals, they are open and they have welcomed us like old friends! We have also appreciated a lot the restaurants at Gialos but also at Toli and Marathounta. We adored the coffee bar “Pachos”, it’s a place to be if you search simplicity and you want to see how the locals live. The sea is everywhere! Walking or sailing or driving you can reach the sea easily. Great beaches and excellent waters. Be sure before leaving Symi that you have visited also the archeological museum which is very rich (collections) and its building it’s a piece of art.
Symi is a very delightful islands, with lovely, colorful Venetian style houses and wonderful restaurants. It has only small and secluded beaches, which are not reachable by car. A couple of boats go around the island to pick people up to reach the beaches, and I understand that at least one beach can be reached through a hiking path. Once you reach the beaches, the water is clean, wonderful, and a bit warmer than in most other places of the Aegean.
There are many beautiful places in Greece, but Symi is unforgettable. Where to begin - the colour of the water, the architecture, the atmosphere, the beaches you don't think exist that you then discover by boat, Panormitis, that view as you turn into the magnificent horseshoe shaped harbour? it's hard to put into words the atmosphere. In the day time you can clear out of the town to avoid the daytrippers and explore the local beaches on the boat, dropping you off wherever you choose to spend the day. And in the evening you enjoy the waterfront or back street tavernas and cafes. If I had to choose one word it describe Symi it would be 'magical'.
Easy to get boat taxis to other beaches, 7-12Euro return. Boats go around 10.00 or 11.00 or after allowing a relaxed breakfast and explore before going. Evening meal in the many restaurants is 25-40Euro for two including wine.
Symi
Everything. Except for maybe the bathroom being a bit small, which demanded us to take quick, short showers. Other than that, it was perfect. We arrived quite late, and Julie, the owner waited for us to give us the keys. The apartment had everything you needed. A tiny little balcony, with for sure one of the best views over the harbour. Everybody was super relaxed and never stressing us. If you’re traveling to Symi for the first time, this is definitely a good spot to get hooked on Symi forever.
The hotel is run by the most amazing couple. They are pure happiness and that is contagious. Niko welcomed us and gave us lots of tips about the island and what to do. He would go above and beyond to help you. The hotel offers an amazing and delicious breakfast and Niko even gave us some fruits to take with us to the beach. The room is well equipped and nicely decorated. We wish we could have stayed more! Thanks for all! It was amazing!

Our Hosts, Takis and Katerina are exceptional people and very kind and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay in Symi for the four nights and Takis was informative about bus schedules, tours of the beaches, etc. His apartment is very clean, comfortable, in a safe and secure working fishing port. Lovely view and very quiet. We’d recommend his place to those who seek a unique experience in a lovely Greek island.

The owners (Mr Costas and Ms Tasoula) are wonderful people, very helpful and welcoming (Mr Costas picked us up from the harbor). The facility is very well located in the village of Symi, just 7 minutes walking down the stairs to Gialos (the harbor) and 15 minutes walk to the beach of pedi. Our room was properly cleaned and Ms Tasoula had made sure that there was also a hand cleaning gel in our room.
Symi
Amazing place to stay in. It is traditionally renovated but with a modern taste. Location is great. Very close to the city and still peaceful and quite place. The hosts very good people, always there when we needed them and with many tips for the island. I recommend this place to anyone that wants to visit Symi. I have been there many times before but this was by far the best experience i had.
Symi
Symi is such a wonderful island and we thought Kokona was a great base for our visit. Our room was clean and well appointed. You are located close to everything you would need such as restaurants, buses and the port. The hosts were very welcoming and we really appreciated the gift we received. Thank you and hope to return again one day 😀
Symi
Loved our stay! Hot tub was an added bonus. Beautiful huge balcony with gorgeous views. 3 minutes walk from Blue Star Ferries terminal. Ten minutes walk to town with wonderful restaurants and shops. Host was quick to respond via text. 5 minutes walk to great beach club. Daily housekeeping. Symi is wonderful!! You won’t be disappointed.
Symi
The best hotel I have stayed in Greece. Panagiotis is super helpful, which everything from check in to check out. The building is just beautiful, everything is brand new. Fully stocked fridge was amazing. Location is perfect. I am determined to make it back to Symi and I will definitely stay at Thea again.
The room was very clean and had amazing neoclassical features that catch our eye immediately. The owner was very polite, she even came and take us from the harbor. She gave us a very nice room, which was very cozy. The location was very good if someone rent a car. A bus stop is very close though.
Symi
We had a fabulous stay at Villa Galanis. Well appointed and comfortable with the added bonus of a kitchen with full size fridge. Wonderful location close to the beach and one of the best restaurants in Symi. The work to town was very manageable, some great restaurants to be found there too.
Symi
Great location, close to everything in the heart of Symi. The room was clean and cosy, wifi was working perfectly. Fotini was super communicative and an amazing host overall. Would highly recommend for something basic in the centre :)
Symi
Very clean accommodation and a big studio as well... Athina and her husband are very lovely and attentive people. Symi islands was a great cycling experience for me and will definitely come back again 😊
The view from the two terraces was genuinely extraordinary (one of the very best in Symi) and the hot tub was fantastic. We stayed two nights and I really wish we could have stayed longer.
Amazing staff and nice location. Beach right in front and regular water taxis 20 m away. Regular shuttle to Symi port. Dinner buffet was quite tasty on certain evenings.
Very good choice for some days on the island. The apartment is nice , big and convenient. WiFi connection fast and The host very responsive.
The upper floor rooms have a nice view to the harbor of Symi. The room was clear and the cleaning lady very helpful and accommodating.
Symi
Great location, nice and clean hotel! We would stay day every time from now when we’re get back to symi ..
The hotel is very clean and has a beautiful location on the seafront of Symi. Staff was also very helpful.
Symi
You are either going to love this place or hate it. It is a rather dated but spacious property beside the beach in the hamlet of Marathounta. The facilities are functional but basic (there is for instance no TV), and there is only one cafe and one taverna nearby both of which close at 6pm. If you like peace and quiet, and can tolerate some small privations you will love it. We did. Location: Marathounta is 17km from Symi and accessible only either via the twisting mountain road or by boat. That means that the nearest supermarket is 17km away. Be sure to stock up with provisions before arrival. On the beach there is both a cafe and a restaurant that cater for the tourists that arrive by boat at 11am. They both close at 6pm. There is a bakery and a restaurant at the monastery at Panoramitis 4km away. Before 11am and after the ferry from Symi leaves at 4.45pm you will have the beautiful pebble beach pretty much to yourself. The water is incredibly clear. Mind out for the local goats, and be sure to keep the gate to the terrace closed. Transport: our hosts picked us up from Symi and drove us to the villa via the supermarket so we could stock up for the week. The also drove us back at the end. If you need to get to Symi there are 3 buses a day at roughly 7.30am, 12pm and 4.30pm (ask at the cafe for the timetable). The road is narrow, steep and windy. Facilities: dated and rather basic. There is air conditioning in one of the bedrooms and the hallway, but not the second bedroom. The water from the tap is brackish and OK for washing but i would advise buying bottles of mineral water from the cafe. The water supply is also limited and the shower may run dry if too many other villagers are also trying to use it. Overall: we loved it.
The facility is excellent.Location, rooms, breakfast, stuff...everything was excellent
