Volos was a lovely and pleasant city, but unfortunately, the most beautiful beaches were almost an hour away by car.
Overall, the food was very good, especially the meat. Volos was a clean and pleasant city, and considering that we visited in mid-August, I expected it to be extremely crowded, but surprisingly it wasn’t, which made our stay even more enjoyable. Nearby, Portaria and Makrinitsa were also beautiful places and definitely worth visiting.

We have visited the town and a beach bar during the night...
We have visited the town and a beach bar during the night and the next day we went to Pelio at Makrinitsa village. Makrinitsa is a traditional village with stone houses, hotels and nice food restaurants. The view of Volos from such a height was breath taking as well as the Pagasitikos bay. We went at Kala Nera for swimming and we had nice time. Next time I will come for more days cause this area is very beautiful.

As a starting point towards wonders of Pelion, Volos combines mixture of local tradition and urban life. We will come again. Do not miss the view from Makrinitsa, forests above Milie and magical beaches of the East Pelion.

Volos is a wonderful city that I really enjoy visiting.
Volos is a wonderful city that I really enjoy visiting. The long promenade along the sea, with green parks on the other side, is perfect for walking and enjoying the atmosphere of the city. The small streets are full of restaurants, cafés, bakeries and pastry shops – some of them so beautifully presented that they look almost like little art galleries.
Volos is also a perfect starting point for exploring the entire Pelion region, combining a beautiful mountain landscape, traditional villages and some truly wonderful beaches. A great destination where you can enjoy the city, the sea and the mountains all in one trip.

Volos is one of the biggest towns in Greece , hence plenty of places to eat, shop and walk around. You need to visit Makrinitsa , a beautiful town up high on the Pelion peninsular, and so many other beautiful little towns nearby.

Slight turn from the E-75 motorway and you are in! Really easy to get around the city. Everything accessible by foot, no matter what side you are on (the old city core, very centre, or the park). Bunch of shops, cafeterias (coffee so nice), restaurants (tasty food); huge promenade full of life; perfect view of the port/bridge that goes deep in the sea by the small lighthouse! Very friendly and always nicely clothed people, which makes them both act and look like real ladies and gentlemen! Interesting beaches within the surrounding areas/outskirts of the city. P.S. Parking could be tricky...

A dream house located right on the beach in a small and charming greac vilage, close to the city of Volos, more confortable than a 5 stars hotel (and way cheaper).
As much as I tried to capture in my pictures the beauty of the house it is almost imposible. The house is way better than you can imagine seeing pictures.
The tavern with delicios greacs dishes is near the house and you don t have to worry about food.
For us it’s a new standard for hollydays at the sea.

Everything was perfect! Hotel is located in very good loaction very close to the pedestrian promenade. This is brand new cosy, modern hotel with everything needed for a comfort stay in a city. Rooms are extemely comfortable and clean. Equipment, sheets, towels ets were brand new and very well maintenaned. Breacfast was wanderful. Beds are comfortable. They were cleaning the room every day and changing the sheets in 2 days. Highly recomended for a stay in Volos.

It is a gorgeous hotel with amazing amenities that will step up your vacation. The room was spotless, with great and calm interior. The breakfast was nice, and it was great value for money. I will definitely be staying there next time I’m in Volos. They made sure our pet was welcome and even put a little bowl for his food/water in the room, which was very thoughtful! Shoutout to Vivi, she was extremely helpful and polite!

A wonderful hotel!
We were passing through Volos, and the hotel’s location is excellent - everything is nearby: restaurants, the port, and the bus station. The reception staff were fantastic and polite, and the breakfasts were delicious. The value for money is excellent.
