The old town is a unique place to visit with a lot of history, nice restaurants and a wonderful atmosphere. This summer was ideal to visit it since the number of guests was reduced due to the pandemia. In normal years it might get overcrowded. We also had a trip to Pupnat beach (beautiful little bay for swimming) and a very nice seafood restaurant there. Otherwise we spent two days sailing, renting a boat from Oreb Sailing company. Very recommendable!
The whole island was great. We drove to Vela Luka one day and spent the afternoon there, had a really nice lunch in a seaside restaurant. On the way back we made our way 20 minutes down Mountain roads that turned into gravel tracks, and eventually found ourselves at Pupnatska Luka, a great little hidden beach. If you can brave the drive down and the tricky parking, it is well worth the visit.
We loved Korcula! It is beautiful and has great live music and lots to do. We loved the snorkeling and kayaking and the old town. We ate at really nice restaurants and drove across to see the vineyards and olive oil region.
Korcula has always been one of my favorite Croatian islands. Old town architecture takes you back to centuries gone by and each visit promises a new discovery. Read up on Korcula first and I would recommend going with a plan. Konoba Maslina, recommended by Boris and located 10 minutes away toward Lumbarda, was a culinary delight. Korcula is a must.see.
A nice stop over while island hopping. We only spent 1 night here in the middle of our trip. Took ferry from Dubrovnik and then headed to Hvar the following afternoon. Very cute and small Old Town. If you have more time on the island, you can definitely bike to Lumbarda, rent kayaks, or explore other parts of the island. Wish we had planned a little bit better and explored Lumbarda, but we didn't have the energy to plan last minute. Great dinner in Old Town at Konoba Aterina - highly recommend.
We had a great 6 days in korcula as we stayed longer due to the reduced ferry timetable. A lot. Of restaurants were closed (mid to late October) but the town was still busy. If you like wine tasting like us you won’t run out of things to do but call ahead as it is also olive picking season. We ate at a few of the classier restaurants around the fort. Pensatore stood out for great food and service. We also went to konoba maslina 2 km out of town, fantastic. We took local bus to Lumbarda and visited winery Grk, which was also lovely. Caught the local ferry to Orebic to visit Korta Katarina also well worth it. We did the wine and sightseeing tour of korcula on the red open air bus and it was fabulous but skip the included meal in old town at the end. It was terrible.
Korčula
1) We had a poll few meters from our apartments and during hot dalmatian afternoon's, after a tiring comeback from the beach that was GREAT. Used that a lot and almost always we were the alone! 2) Apartment's terrace was spacious, with nice view on the valley underneath, (southwest orientation)- great for breakfast or a drink with a sunset (we stayed on top floor). 3) We haven't order daily housekeeping but were given a broom and mop on request. 4) Groceries are 5min walk away. 5) Reported problems with amenities were fixed right away. 6) WhatsApp communication with Martin from reception was a smooth way to report problems and get them fixed. 7) Korčula old town is only 10mins away with a car and that's a blast for the evening's. Every day there something going on in the stunning, medieval town center. 8) Picking area was close to the poll, featuring six chairs and a classy dining table. Shaded with trees, cooled with a sea-mountain breeze and with a stunning view on the bay. We used it a for having a lunch after coming back from the beach. 9) Top apartments had a special parking lot up the hill that eased packing family beach equipment to a car trunk a lot. Reduced stair running from 6 floors to 1!
Korčula
Modern and really clean apartment (with stunningly great sea view), the hosts are so pleasant and friendly, they run it by themselves so you get that "at-home" feeling there. They even gave me detailed instructions on best places in Korčula ( Dalmatino restaurant near by with great food is a must). Breakfast was so yummy and tasty, everything is fresh made for you and from local home grown vegetables/fruits. The beach is just a couple of minutes from the residence by foot, and they also have a big nice pool which I sadly did not have time to try. Definitely will go there again, only next time I'll make sure to stay longer.

Quiet place, great for relaxation. Apartment is perfect - the terrace is always in the shade so it is perfect for chill. The beach under the apartment is beautiful and not crowded - we were only one on the beach. Perfect for pets, they enjoyed the stay too.
Korčula
It was quiet and very picturesque but not far from the town so easy to get there. Close to a local supermarket and a small bay to watch the sunset. Valeria and her husband were great hosts and went out of their way to help us

Great location with excellent view of old city. Tonci the landlord was very helpful, picking us up at ferry and getting us settled in with a gift bottle of his own wine. Very nice stay
