Loveeee the interior and the environment. Lisa & Leo made sure everything is ok with our stay. The dogs were lovely :) Sunrise and sunset looked amazing everyday. And we could see stars at night since there’s no light pollution. We learned a lot about coffee too (as non coffee drinkers), it was inspiring to see Lisa & Leo’s dedication and passion about coffee

Had a very good time here, is a bit outside the city and less busy. Rooms were cheap, food was good, also inexpensive. I rented a motor-bike from them for low-speed island scouting, also cheap. Isac helped us a lot & in depth with travel arrangements, Everybody else was also very kind, as is the whole island. Generally, the worst thing that can happen in Sumatra, is that people will be upset with themselves after a language misunderstanding. How anyone would be angry with people so genuinely nice all the time, I don't know ;-)

Right on the lake with small private beach. Traditional Batak house right on the property. Rey, who runs the place, is exceptionally friendly and helpful. He invited me for a hike on my first day and, when I left amid pouring rain, he drove me to the bus station. In between times we hung out and had some good conversation, as he speaks pretty good English.
