Located in Tabanan, a few steps from Pasut Beach, Boutique Hotel Sensation has accommodations with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and barbecue facilities. It’s a hidden gem indeed! Extremely beautiful modern villa! Very close to the sea (you hear the waves during the whole day). If you’re looking to get away from the busy Bali, this is excellent choice!
With Pig Stone Beach reachable in a few steps, Bali Beach Glamping has accommodations, a restaurant, an outdoor swimming pool, a bar and a garden. The gazebo style room, the bed, the pillow, the terrace, the play yard, the swimming pool.. I think all spot in this place is wonderful. We can take picture in any place -- instagrammable :) I am satisfied with the services from Pak Ketut, the manager in charge, since we have booked the barbeque and demanded to be set up in the main place, not in the resto.. And he was able to manage this change in timely manner. Thank you and we love to stay in this place again
Located in Tabanan Regency, along the southwest coast of Bali, Amarta Beach Retreat by Nakula is a beachfront boutique resort. The property is a 30-minute drive from the Butterfly Park. Location and accommodation was superb....off the beaten track , quiet and relaxing. Staff were excellent.
Nirjhara has a restaurant, outdoor swimming pool, a fitness center and bar in Tabanan. With free WiFi, this 5-star resort has a garden and a terrace. The ambience was very nice. Our family chose to stay in the Jungle Pool Villa and the facilities were fantastic. The living room was very nice for the whole family to gather. The size of the swimming pool is just right for four people. The surroundings covered in trees and plants making itu very jungle-like and surprisingly the wild bugs didn't bother us because the used a good pest control so it is complete with the sounds of various bugs at night where you can hear them but can't see them. The waterfalls near the public swimming pool was also a great place to relax in the afternoon.
Located 15 minutes’ drive from Taman Ayun, Umasari Rice Terrace Villa is set in Marga, Tabanan. Free Wi-Fi access is available in all areas of the property. Rooms here will provide you with a terrace.... Beautiful villa in the countryside, staying among local villages. The area is much less touristy and commercialised compared to its counterpart Ubud.
Located in Tabanan, 22 miles from Canggu, Bali Jungle Camping has a restaurant and free WiFi. Some units have a seating area and/or a balcony. Guests at the campground can enjoy a à la carte... Food, location and staff were amazing. This place is magical and I will be returning many times 😊

So good to be away from busy South Bali. Here it is all about real balinese life and tradition. For sure the main road is just a way to go there but once you step out of it this is lush, nature, villages with soul.
Tabanan is the region of Bali south of Denpasar and north of Kuta etc. So although it includes Tanah Lot - the very popular Hindu beach temple, it also has many unspoilt areas of rice fields, farms, very pretty, clean villages and glorious empty beaches although we didn't swim due to the rips on our local beach. There is a marvellous pottery in Pejatan where you can not only buy some lovely local ceramics but do classes as well. We also visited the Subak museum (we were the only visitors there and had a guide take us round) where they explain the village rice growing organisations and the Mangarana Memorial Park which has a war memorial commemorating all the Balinese who died against the Dutch in the war of independence in 1949 and the graves of the 89 guerillas who died in an actual battle there, including their leader, I Gusti Ngurah Rai (after whom the Airport at Denpasar is named) The driver from our hotel showed us his Uncles grave, which has their village name on it. So much to see but such rural quiet if you want it; great area for cycling or walking and exploring.
MY REVIEW OF TABANAN ITSELF WAS GREAT. BUT AS FOR THE ACCOMMODATION, WOULD NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYBODY. BOOKED THE ARYA RIVERSIDE VILLA AND ENDED UP HAVING TO FIND ALTERNATIVE ACCOMMODATION DUE TO THE FACT THAT WE BOOKED THIS VILLA IN FEB 2019 FOR 2 NIGHTS IN JULY. GAVE OUR CREDIT CARD AND PAID FOR THIS ACCOMMODATION. GOT TO THE VILLA TO FIND IT PADLOCKED UP AND NOBODY AROUND TO BOOK US IN WAITED 2 HOURS FOR SOMEONE TO TURN UP AND SEVERAL PHONE CALLS TO THE NUMBER ON OUR BOOKING SHEET - NO ANSWER ON THAT PHONE. NO TELEPHONE NUMBERS AT THE VILLA TO CALL ANYONE TO OPEN UP THE VILLA. HAD TO LEAVE AFTER 2 HOURS TO FIND OUR ALTERNATIVE ACCOMMODATION. WE ARE TRYING TO NOW GET A FULL REFUND FROM THE COMPANY. NO JOY YET. VERY ANRGY AND DISAPPOINTED WITH BOOKING.COM AND THE OWNERS OF THE VILLA. WENDY EVERY
This place was amazing. Far away from everything except a restaurant up the beach which was a bit expensive but ok and a few tiny local shops. It’s unique and has magical gardens that are very highly maintained. Situated between rice fields and the black sandy beach. What a perfect escape for a couple to a family. Would definitely recommend.
Amazing calm place amidst rice fields and the beautiful black sand beaches are a sight to behold. Balian beach is pretty close and good for surfing. Locals great you with a genuine smile and/or interest
Almost in the middle of Bali, it is little far from airport but still equidistance from where we can visit. It is not a touristic area, which is an advantage for whoever would like to see the real Balian life and village
The hotel is a bit out of the way but if you want to escape for a few days then this is the place to go. It’s quite a small hotel with wonderful individual bungalow style rooms around the property. The restaurant is by the pool looking out over the beach. The meals in the restaurant are very reasonably priced and are top quality. Every meal that we ate ate the hotel was lovely. All of the staff are wonderful and can’t do enough for you. Would highly recommend staying here for a break for a few days or more.
The hosts treated me like I was in a 5-star hotel. From welcome with a drink to putting my bag to my room... I really relaxed and came home in this place. Facilities and beds are great and SUPER clean - like really, take your sunglasses with you because everything shines haha :D ! The included breakfast was a great way to start my day. At this price point the service and quality actually surprised me because it was so good. Just book here when you read this, you won't regret it.
The hotel is nothing fancy, but the family running it and the beautiful view made our stay amazing. The bungalows overlook rice terraces and the jungle, there's the sound of a waterfall in the background, and you can watch the sunrise right from your room. The family is so warm and welcoming! They brought us treats (red rice tea and fried bananas), and made delicious breakfast in the morning. The dining area has a lovely view and a swing.
Staff were very friendly. Location is a very peaceful area but only a short drive (15min) to the main town of Tabanan. Rooms are well equipped and comfy. Good to have your own car if you're planning to stay a while as it is fairly remote. Pool was great and very clean, and grounds still nicely maintained considering the current lack of tourist situation. Overall a very peaceful and tranquil get away in a calming setting.
Had a great time at Nirjhara! The staff was lovely and very handy throughout our stay. We had breakfast and dinner at the hotel. The food was delicious and the price was fair. We went on a complimentary bike ride with a guide around the area and got to enjoy Bali's natural beauty firsthand (those ricefields!) Highly recommended for a couple's stay or for small families alike. Thanks for the wonderful memories!
We were on honeymoon and the hotel was just perfect. The staff is very very nice and friendly, the food was so tasty and the most important is the magnificent view from villa on the rice fields. Perfect destination for a thise who like enjoying nature and want some privacy. Also we tried the balinese massage in the hotel and it was just perfect.
Very quiet place in the middle of the rice fields, only 30 minutes from the Tanah Lot temple. We arrived late and departed early so we couldn't enjoy the place that much but there are surly nice walks to do in the rice fields around the hotel.
Beautiful resort, very quite Friendly staff and very accommodating Booked suites but turn out no swimming pool for suites room then we upgraded to a private villa with no add on.
Nice place Helpful stuff Perfect spa Nice villa Private and quiet place
Peaceful and beatiful place in the tabanan area
It was the perfect location to put my family for a week. Staff is so nice, understanding and anything.
Food, location and staff were amazing. This place is magical and I will be returning many times 😊
