Foxford is a bustling little town that is bustling with shops and places to see. The people are friendly even amid this Covid pandemic! There is a holiday atmosphere here and the Foxford Woollen Mills and Cafe is something everyone should experience. The best B & B ever! is the Grey Gate Lodge just a couple of minutes outside of the town, the Glasshouse Hotel is a perfect spot to be situated right in the heart of Foxford.
Foxford is a Beautiful wee Village the locals are very friendly plus the Hideout lounge is the place to be Ash is amazing Only down falm the Mayfly hotel took a double payment of me tht I am trying to retrieve back from them as was paid through by yourself
An excellent town but unfortunately many of the pubs have closed leading to a less than vibrant night scene. That said, a really great place to visit. Great fishing and walking, the mill is well worth a visit if only for a coffee and some excellent dessert. Don’t forget to pick up some local jam and Sligo honey.
Foxford was a quiet sleepy village relaxing atmosphere in the restaraunts and pubs . . .the foxford wollen mills was a lovely place to visit along with the admiral Brown museum . . All within walking distance of accomadation. .15 minute drive from balina . .the hideout public house was a hidden gem for us with great locals we enjoyed the few games of pool the decor was fun and original. .And the manager ashling was very welcoming will definately be back.
Brilliant wee place and a goldmine for fishermen/women. Brilliant craic in the hideout and Jason will tell you exactly what is on in all surrounding areas, don't pass it by, its brilliant and people are all so friendly. I came home with lots of new friends so we're gonna meet up there again....
Foxford is home to many of my relatives and is a special place. There is a friendly community atmosphere with modern and quaint combined. The Mill is always worth a visit with new ranges added every season. Plenty of pubs to grab a bite to eat or enjoy the Guinness! Central spot from which you can freely travel to so many other parts of the West. Always worth a visit.
