Brookville Guesthouse is located just over 2 minutes' walk from Tullarmore town centre, which features a variety of pubs, shops and golf courses. Ellen was lovely. We found ourselves without accommodation on arriving at our original spot and Ellen was so gracious and lovely. She greeted us even though it was a little later in the evening. The room was clean, comfortable and well appointed. It exceeded our expectations. The breakfast in the morning was delicious and worth every cent to order that with our booking. We felt at ease and allowed to wake slowly and eat at our leisure. Loved our experience there and would highly recommend it to anyone. Tullamore is a lovely town, the Tullamore DEW tour was great (and easy walking distance from the Guesthouse). What could have been a very bad experience turned into an amazing one. Thank you Ellen!

Tullamore is a nice friendly town. It's only an hour from Dublin. The Copper Pot bar serves fabulous food and the bars in the area are great. We liked the Brewer's tap bar also. It is very easy to get around the town.
The people are really friendly. I liked that they are always so welcoming and have a great sense of humour. Nothing is too much for them they are anyways willing to help and assist you. The people make Tullamore one of my favourite places to visit.
We went to Tullamore primarily to visit the distillery, and also to see the distillery at Kilbeggan just a few km away. It's a nice town to visit, with pleasant shops and cafes. You can get around pretty well on foot. The distillery visits included a tasting afterward. I don't drink a lot of whisky, but I learned quite a bit about how various whiskies acquire their character, and ended up buying some to take home.
Tullamore is a central place to be based to tour Ireland. We were able to visit Knock, Cork and Galway easily from the town centre. Birr castle is also nearby and definitely worth a visit. Good selection of restaurants to eat in all within easy reach from the central hotel.
We walked around the town on a Sunday morning after checking out of the hotel.....we went to the bridge house shopping centre, its a nice small place, with plenty on offer. Did some shopping and had nice meal in café.
the people were so friendly and we were not there long enough to say too much more this time on the place although on a walk around the town there were plenty of shops giving a lot of choice for the shopping addicts
Great breakfast - server was friendly and helpful
