A great place for a reasonable price. The service is beyond praise, as in 5*. Many thanks to the administrator for letting us in at night!
Our room was small, but perfectly clean, with everything needable. Breakfast is a buffet, for every taste, there is enough of everything, there is no need to rush so as not to stay hungry, and a big plus - breakfasts up to 10, you can sleep longer) The room has many sockets in convenient places, several lighting options, a comfortable bed and pillows, heating

Extremely helpful staff, absolutely tasty, rich and varied breakfast buffet, very comfortable beds, newly renovated room, tasty dinner, everything was great from A to Z. They even provided free access to a nearby swimming pool as well as very affordable (400 ISK) access to a top-notch gym in the swimming pool facility. Thank you again for everything!

The Hallormsstaður area is on a beautiful lake with the largest forest in Iceland nearby. Several significant waterfalls, including the 420 ft. Hengifoss, are minutes away by car. And yet the area is just 15 minutes from Egilstaðir and all its city amenities. Really an ideal location for exploring Eastern Iceland!

Undoubtedly, this was the best hotel we stayed in during our trip. It is situated in a secluded spot, surrounded by beautiful scenery, trees and lakes. There is ample parking space. The hotel's interior is well designed. The receptionist was more than helpful, explaining to us the hotel facilities and also showed us how to use a particular website about the Northern Lights. The room was quite spacious, cosy and comfortable, equipped with TV, coffee and tea, comfortable bed, en-suite bathroom and space for luggage. Luckily we managed to book the indoor hot bath and sauna for 1 hour (at an extra charge) and it was really a great experience! There is also an outdoor (free) hot tub which can be used till late. There, we were lucky that the night sky was clear and managed to see some Northern Lights. Breakfast was abundant and delicious. A small petrol station is close by, where we managed to wash our car before leaving.
Great place to stay, clean and tidy with all the facilities you need, stunning scenery off a quiet road.. you will need to bring some food with you, no shops nearby but there is a hotel/restaurant about 13km away which serves food
