Everything was fantastic. We stayed in the Clubhouse. Stunning views, lovely kitchen to cook a delicious dinner. It was clean and comfortable. The staff was helpful and welcoming. The springs were magical and the restaurant (seafood soup!!) was delicious. Just when we thought it couldn’t get any better, we had the northern lights on New Year’s Eve. Thank you for a wonderful visit. Trip of a lifetime!

Unbeatable view and room design. Aside from that, it's the best balance between a full service hotel and the privacy of an Airbnb-like rental. The experience itself is very intimate and catered as there are a very limited number of rooms and guests at a time. The staff were very ready to help with absolutely anything at all. The honesty bar is also AWESOME for having some drinks without the fuss of going to a hotel bar - feels just like going to your kitchen to fix a drink at home.

A hidden gem in Reykjavik. Exceptional price/performance return. And they’re always there to help you by phone or by the app, 24/7. Beautiful clean, modern rooms with classy fittings. The hotel is new and well designed, low rise (3 floors) with inside lounge areas and an outside courtyard. and the room was very clean. Top floor rooms have a pleasant view over houses. The property is surrounded by trees that give a very pleasant ambience as if you are in a tree house. Breakfast was excellent - a buffet, cafe style.

The hotel is very cosy and it has everything a traveller would want and more, even outside of the check-in period. The dining area has coffee machines available not only for the great continental breakfast. Also, a microwave oven is there, so after a tiring day of exploring, one can choose not to eat out and bring something there in the evenings. The staff was always very polite and helpful, which added to the overall great feeling of the trip.

We had an excellent 4 night stay at Eyja Guldsmeden Hotel. The room was small but very comfortable with everything we needed including supplied toiletries. The hotel lobby is a nicely decorated, relaxing space with tea, coffee and bottles for tap water available free of charge to guests. There is also a bar in the lobby which did happy hour 4pm-7pm. There is free parking outside the door of the hotel which was great as like many others we had rented a car, meaning we didn’t need to worry about it overnight. Reykjavik centre is within walking distance (1km approx) of the hotel so the car wasn’t needed when we were going to the city centre. Finally, the staff were very friendly and helpful, and the hotel had a welcoming atmosphere.

QUIET location - bakery located a short walk away that is open early with delicious baked goods, coffee, tea, sandwiches, etc. Also a BONUS grocery store right beside the bakery so very convenient. Hosts were lovely, lovely people. We stayed 2 nights in a row and then 1 night at the end of our trip - referred to the Hotel as "home".
