Opening in July 2018, Hótel Kría is located in Vík. Among the various facilities are a garden and a bar. There is a restaurant. The black sand beaches begin about 5 minutes' walk from the hotel. I enjoyed everything. Mainly the Staff everyone is super friendly and helpfull. Was an awesome surprise when I arrived at the Hotel and met a Portuguese speaking at the reception. Actually Marco Reis was super at receiving us, and his insight and suggestions made our trip way more valued. The Hotel is very well located in Vik area. We set up our base here so we could easly go visit other places by car, instead of driving all the from Reykjavik. Thank you all. I hope I'll return to this amazing hotel.
With views of the Reynisdrangar sea stacks, this Icelandair Hotel Vík hotel is just 886 feet off southern Iceland’s Ring Road. It offers free WiFi, a bar, as well as bright, modern rooms. Lovely staff, dinner was lovely (but yes expensive)
Located in the village of Vik, this hotel is 10 minutes’ walk from the black sandy beaches of southern Iceland. Free private parking and free WiFi are available. Great location and the Breakfast was good.
Located 3.1 mi from Vík í Mýrdal, this countryside hotel offers spacious guest rooms and stunning views of the Mýrdalsjökull Glacier. Everything! Upgraded us to a premium twin room for free, the beds were amazingly comfortable, amazing clean new room! Breakfast was fantastic, and the view outside and around the hotel was breath taking! Amazing hotel, wish we would have stopped there for more than one night! ♡
Among the facilities of this property are a restaurant, a 24-hour front desk and a concierge service, along with free WiFi. Guests can use a bar. Breakfast was amazing. I have a gluten issue and the staff went into the kitchen to bring out Gluten free bread and oatmeal for me.

Vik was the absolute highlight of my trip. I did horseback riding and ziplining there, but could have done many more adventures and would have enjoyed a few extra days. Definitely worth the drive from Reykjavik!
Vik is such a cute town with some good restaurants and the people are very friendly and welcoming. There’s a good grocery store to get food in order to save some money and also a great souvenir store as well.
Vik is a excellent stop when traveling the southern coast of Iceland. There are several good things to do in the area...hiking, black beach, church and more. There are several good restaurants in the town and a good supermarket too. Hotel Vik is excellent! We loved it!
Vik is a great place to stay since it's in the middle of South Iceland. I loved it since I had plans to see the Skaftafell glacier. The drive was doable, even in terrible winter conditions. The black sand beach is a must see, along with the lighthouse, and other local attractions.
Small town so everything is right there. The beaches are fantastic for views/photography. Both Reynisfjara and Dyrholaey are amazing to see. We also went to see the Icelandic Lava Show - due to heavy rains we delayed our outdoor activity a bit - and it was really very good. A little pricey, but we were very enthralled with it.
Vik is nothing to write home about, but is a great place to stay if traveling from Reykjavik east along the southern coast during the winter months. We only stayed overnight 1 night. We stayed at Hotel Katla, right on the circle drive just east of the town of Vik. The hotel food was good, so we also chose to stop there on the way back for dinner, as well.

Amazing hotel!! Definitely was our favorite stay in Iceland! Beautiful hotel. rooms were so nice and clean, spacious, well equipped, and also great view. Breakfast was really good, a lot of veriaty, fresh and tasty. And above all- excellent service! Mark from the reception was so so kind and helpful, and made sure we were having the best time on my mom's birthday, that really made our visit! Highly recommended, would love to come back.

The rooms were small, as said, but nice, with enough room. Very friendly and helpful staff (note that there are no workers at the hostel itself, but they're at the hotel, which is just next to the hostel). The kitchen and eating area were OK too. It was pretty centric (although it was a 12min walk to the shops/supermarkets). For beign Iceland, the price was fare too. Overall, I would recommend.

Extremely clean and modern, great communal kitchen area, location is brilliant near Vik for amenities and close to black beach great half way stop when travelling the south coast. Loved the privacy of having a curtain across your own bunk bed which made for a much better sleep. Love the Iceland rule of no footwear in the rooms as this helps keep it very clean and tidy.

This was by far our favorite Guesthouse in Iceland. What a lovely welcoming! We loved that set up of the place as it allowed guests to share some time together, plus the owners were really helpful and they made sure we enjoyed our time in their place and also in town. I loved it!

The owner was so open and friendly. He told us to eat anything in his fridge. The breakfast was delicious and plenty. The beds were very comfortable. Rooms were all very clean. This was our best accommodation in Iceland so far.

Nice location outside vik, under the cliffs and with ocean view. Bed was very comfy. Windows had goos blinders which make the room completely dark. A luxus in Iceland where in the summer sun never goes down.
