Kitchen is so cozy and well equiped, there were a lot of friendly people cooking dinner and eating breakfast (made me feel like home :) ) but like with wcs and showers there was no waiting ( btw amaaaaazing view :) ). Beds were super comfy, pillows too, everythins was spotless. Common area and bar were also great with cozy sofas and board games and books. Overall, it's the best hostel experience I've ever had :)

most of people visit Vik for the black beach, the best informed for the crashed plane site too. Actually best suggestion is to visit Vik because of Vik itself Just be careful, it is a windy place even for Icelanders ! very windy, very often windy
actually attracting place, worth to be visited at least twice: 1st deep in winter, better from the half January to have bit of light 2nd in full summer, even if there will be no night Recommended: landscapes and hiking
Vik is a great place to pass through, but not necessarily to stay for multiple days. The beach is beautiful, they have an interesting church and a warehouse-type store where you can eat, shop groceries, buy winter/outdoor clothing and souvenirs.
Though we had intended to go to the swimming pool, we only visited the beach. It was just too magnificent. We will have to return. Getting around the corner of the cliffs to the beach was very simple and it looked very easy to get to other places. I'd like to return and visit the museum too sometime.
Vik was my favourite part of Iceland. I should have planned longer time there. beautiful scenery and dramatic views from Dyrholaey arches. we enjoyed some stunning sunset and sunrise hikes here. Vik is a good base location to explore the south and east of the country.
I loved the proximity to the sea (with easy access to viewing the adorable puffins!) and the mountains! There were plenty of things to do and see in the area. Wearing many layers for warmth and waterproof gear for the rain were essential!
If you want to wake to a pretty view of the mountains and feel like you're in a cabin, definitely stay here! We rented 1 cottage with two rooms where the kids were able to have their own room. The cottages are part of the Icelandair Hotel so brunch was included in our stay which was great. Across the street you'll find a grocery store and gas station to pick up any essentials before you hit the road. We also attended a show at the Lava Cafe nearby and it was FANTASTIC!
Located just 10min from Viki and the amazing Black Sand beach in a peace and quiet this place was absolute amazing. Little small but very cozy, and very comfortable.beds, in the kitchen we had everything we needed, fresh towels. Perfect place to stay in south of Iceland as many amazing places are to see and what's the bonus we got to see the aurora just from our balcony one night which was an unforgettable experience
It was quiet and tranquil but over-priced. The internet was spotty the bathroom was meh and the amenities non existent (at this price point of $280 a night, there should be shampoo and conditioner in the shower and multiple pillows and extra blankets. We have been all over Iceland - I have had much better value in the country’s 2 star hotels.
We had a wonderful time at this hotel. The staff was extremely welcoming: when we arrived much earlier due to an upcoming storm, we were able to check in three hours in advance! The family room is large and has two levels, the restaurant serves great food and the location is perfect for sightseeing in the south of Iceland.
The decor is impeccable, and the rooms are very comfortable and stylish. The location is very convenient for those visiting Vik, and southern Iceland attractions like Reynisfjara beach. The kitchen is fully equipped, so it is very pleasant to cook there. The shower products are lovely (Soley).

Absolutely the best place we stayed in Iceland and the best hostel we have ever stayed in the world! To be honest, not sure how it can be considered as a "hostel". It has EVERYTHING you need for a really good price. We even came back for one more night. 11/10

Lovely place for a stop in Vik, clean and warm. It had everything we needed and owners were very friendly. They helped us with advices about surroundings and weather conditions. We will certainly come back to this part of Iceland because it's simply gorgeous!
Tidy and exceptionally spacious double room for Iceland hotel/guesthouse standard (as experienced after 3 weeks on the ring road). Large generous breakfast buffet. Tasty dinner available at the restaurant. Friendly staff.

Lovely location close to Vik. The price was fair compared to the usual Icelandic standard. Everything was clean, we had a warm welcome from the hosts, and a nice breakfast in the morning (basic, but good)
Staff was very helpful. Restaurant was excellent. View was amazing. I so wish I did not have to go home! Vik was the perfect base for exploring southern Iceland.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Quiet. Breakfast included some fresh fruit, which we had not found at other similar hotels in Iceland.

Best place we've been in Iceland, probably there are better places but Vik hostel became our favourite
Their buffet dinner was the best we had in Iceland.
Host is an incredibly sweet and kind, welcoming soul. She will make you feel right at home immediately. Kitchen and living room were the best we saw during our travels of the country, and was a much-needed respite from the cold.
Guesthouse Carina was so well set up. The rooms were really lovely. Plenty of bathrooms and facilities available. Especially liked the dining area.
Great place, owners had very friendly dog, also they answered all my questions.
