This property is set on a horse farm in the town of Laugar in northern Iceland. It offers a terrace with an outdoor hot tub, as well as free Wi-Fi and parking. Incredible value for money. Room was wonderful and hot tub amazing. Everything is super clean and cozy. Recommended also for the generous breakfast and kind staff. Perfect to relax after hiking.
Set in Laugar, Dadastadir Guesthouse offers free WiFi, and guests can enjoy a garden, a shared lounge and a terrace. Guests at the bed and breakfast can enjoy a buffet breakfast. They provided snacks(Chips, fruit, cereal bars etc) and the view was quiet nice. Very friendly owner.

Breidamyri Farm Apartments is set in Laugar, 32 km from Akureyri. Free private parking and free WiFi are available. There is a seating and/or dining area in all units. We had a very big apartment, very comfortable for 4 people stay. Clean and very well equipped. Host show us around her farm if you have time you better not miss it.
Set in Laugar, CJA Guesthouse offers free WiFi, and guests can enjoy a garden, a shared lounge and a terrace. A continental breakfast is available every morning at the bed and breakfast. The place was great, very clean and comfortable, and had a home feeling to it (in a good sense!). Even though the bedroom was very small, the common area was much bigger and very comfortable. The breakfast rather simple but very good and quite enough. Last but not least - the lady of the house is a wonderful person, very helpful and friendly. Great experience!
Offering an outdoor hotel natural bath with geothermal water, and a year-round outdoor pool, Trod North Guesthouse is situated in Laugar in the North Iceland Region. We enjoyed everything about our two nights there. Loved the breakfast, the pool and the lagoon in the garden. We would always go back there.
Laugar is just a tiny town with a single restaurant, supermarket and petrol, but it provides a perfect base from which to explore the area. And there is so much to see! The restaurant food is superb with very friendly service, and you can get all necessary supplies from the supermarket next door.
Love the remote location, far enough from the city to view the northern lights. I wish the room had bigger windows so we couldve fall asleep under the lights. We ended up staying on the sofa bed, not very comfortable bed, in the living room cause of the big glass door and it was easy to view the lights from the living room. But overall the best location to view the lights in Iceland :)
Small town with not much happening, but fantastic if you want to explore this area of Iceland and relax. We did a three night (two full days) stop here in the middle of our trip around Iceland. It's very central to Myvatin, the Diamond Circle, and Akureyri. It's right on the ring road as well making getting in and out of town easy.
Laugar is a lovely little village about 30 minutes away from Myvatn. Our stay was much to short to explore and enjoy all this location has to offer. We LOVED the farm we stayed on and had a wonderful and very comfortable time there. The hosts were lovely people and made us feel very welcome. The landscape is just beautiful! The town has a public swimming pool and a local restaurant. I would think this would be a great place to relax, to walk, and to view northern lights!
Lauger itself has little to offer, but it is centrally located to allow visits to the Myvatn Lake area, Godafoss falls, Husavik (whale watching and museum) and the great Dettifoss and Selfoss falls, as well as Asbyrgi
It is a good starting point for many excursions - e.g. the Myvatn-area. Laugar itself is perhaps not really the place you seek for sight-seeing - though it isn't ugly. The valley as such is lovely and very worm.

We stayed in Iceland for 8 days, each day at a different location around the Ring road. CJA Guesthouse was by far my favorite place to stay! It was such a cute little farm right off the Ring road. The owners were super friendly and helpful! The room we stayed in was small, but very cute and suited our needs. There was a common space with couches to lounge around as well. The best part was the private hot spring right in the backyard! Breakfast was delicious. I would highly recommend this place for anyone traveling to the north of Iceland!

This is surely one of the best places I've ever stayed. So peaceful you won't want to leave. The owner is the best host ever, she welcomed us every day with hot tea, coffee and homemade cakes, which I can guarantee you it's the only thing you want after a day spent on the road in Iceland. Also I wasn't feeling well and she went out of her way to help me out. Breakfast is super good, with a lot of homemade sweets and different kinds of hams and cheese. The location is also good to visit the attractions in the Myvatn area.

Our host gave us a personal tour of this lovely guesthouse the minute we arrived, including the private garden, heated swimming pool, and natural hot spring at the end of a short nature trail on the property. This was probably the coziest and most relaxed we felt at any guesthouse in Iceland. Breakfast was delightful and even though there was a shared bathroom, we never ran out of hot water. I highly recommend staying here. Great location, too! Minutes from Godafoss and close to Lake Myavatn and Husavik.

The apartment is very spacious and nicely decorated. The kitchen has all appliances and plenty of utensils. The living room has large and comfortable sofa to relax, and facing a large balcony, with view of the farm and snow mountains. The farm is only 15 minutes drive to Lake Myvatn and 10 minutes to Godafoss, and is a perfect base to tour the surrounding areas. Our kids love the friendly farm cat.

My wife and I stayed here for one night while traveling around Iceland. The property is beautiful and the cabins were a nice change from the hotels that we had been staying at for the rest of the week. The cabin was the perfect size and we loved the hot tub. We even were able to see the Northern Lights the night we stay here, which made it extra special.

The hostess Helga went out of her way to give us interesting information on the area. Both she and her breakfast were amazing. You truly experience Iceland this way living with the householder for a couple of days.

Location close to Lake Myvtn, very friendly helpful hosts. Very nice breakfast, comfy lounge area, self serve tea coffee plus home baked afternoon tea. Even though this is shared situation, it wasn't an issue. Ragnar runs an excellent guesthouse, lending us towels for our swim. Cafe and petrol station close by.
