What a lovely small village. Various rooms and locations provided, not in the post office itself as I mistakenly had thought. Our rooom was large clean and functional. However what I want to share is about the breakfast and restaurant that comes with it. Simply outstanding, what a joy to experience the quality of food and wine for prices not any more than Iceland standards. A pleasure!

Oh my - what an amazing setting this little hotel is in! It's located right on Rainbow Street and our room overlooked the whole fjord and the beautiful town. The views were magnificent! It was incredibly close to the couple of places where you can eat and was clean and comfortable. It's on the pricier end but it's worth every cent.
Cute little town with scenic walking/running tails.
Cute little town with scenic walking/running tails. It has everything an authentic Icelandic town needs: a grocery store, gas station, cafe with decent coffee, swimming pool and lots of nature around.

Cute town away from the busy ring road, amazing landscape .
Cute town away from the busy ring road, amazing landscape . The local swimming pool is one of the best have visited in Iceland . Hike to Easter Cave is also recommended . Eat fish at Bait Shack outside on the pier with locals , unique place !
Well-equipped spacious apartment with a full set of kitchen utensils. Equipped with black-out curtains, which helped in Iceland summer. Special thanks to the hotel host who was very hospitable, cordial, and ready to help. Would definitely stay here once more. The breakfast was also OK — it was served in a different place, in the Cliff hotel. I was able to park the car on the street directly in front of the hotel.
This hotel is essentially a working farm. Horses, sheeps and lambs are the primary products. The highlight of this establishment is the friendliness of the staff. Having breakfast in the morning was like eating in your own kitchen and having quiet conversations with friends and family. They also provided guidance to find the local puffin population.
Standard Icelandinc wood floors and cleanliness.
The staff! Hi Sirry thank you for accommodating my request! We love the flowers and bday cake! I love coastal towns and this hotel is just right next to the water. The apartment is spacious and the view was amazing. Would love to go back here and stay longer.
