Breakfast was excellent. There were more options than any hotel I’ve stayed in. Free coffee any time of day. Staff sent informative videos ahead of stay and was helpful at all times. Excellent location with most major attractions walkable and nearby subway station.

A stunning hotel, beautifully decorated throughout. Our family had a great stay in one of the nicest hotel rooms we've stayed in. The Casa D is a beautiful hotel and the staff are so nice and so helpful. Loads of space, large spacious rooms with lots of storage for clothes and baggage. The bathroom was definitely the nicest we've ever had. Spotlessly clean, everything you could wish for, slippers, shaving kit, shower caps, high quality shower products etc. This hotel has gone the extra mile on quality. Check in was simple and fast, we got a great welcome. We had a few requests for various things as we had been travelling and the staff were so helpful. After check in we all showered and slept for 3 hours, lovely warm shower with cool mood lighting (which the kids loved), super-comfy bed and then we went off refreshed and rested to explore the chaotic, charming and beautiful city of Napoli. I would DEFINITELY recommend this hotel, I booked it based on other booking.com reviews and our family couldn't have been happier, it was a great choice, definitely a 5-star review.

Vibrancy, Vespas, Vesuvius

Undulating beside the Bay of Naples, this UNESCO World Heritage city is a maze of narrow streets and funicular railways. Although it has an incredible array of churches and monuments, it’s the sheer energy, pulsating life, and buzz of Vespas that really make it exciting.

At first you could mistake this for chaos, but given time you’ll see there’s method to the madness. The stunning, curved portico of the Royal Palace. The perfectly thin pizzas which originated here. The red pepper trinkets to ward off the evil eye adorning practically every old town doorway. All are crafted to perfection.

While all this goes on at street level, below is Underground Naples – a series of visitable tunnels and even a Graeco-Roman theatre which you stop at before emerging into someone’s house!

Head up to the Posillipo area for stunning views of the city and Vesuvius in the distance. The volcano itself can be visited and looking down from it towards Pompeii and Herculaneum gives context to the thousands of artefacts now on display in the city’s National Archaeological Museum.

It is, in fact, a city with a very rich history and an enviable cultural tradition, whose enchanting skyline is crowned by the still-active volcano Vesuvius. It is a city full of contrasts that is well worth exploring. What makes Naples exceptional and distinctive is, above all, the lifestyle of its inhabitants. Naples is not just a city; it is a state of mind. A place where reality and emotions do not strive to be polished, but exist with full intensity. It is a living organism where death is not repressed, but is present. Joy is more intense precisely because nothing here is certain. The streets are like arteries of emotion; people communicate loudly, but sincerely. The boundaries between the private and the public are blurred.

The stay at B&B Miraglia was very disappointing and did not...

The stay at B&B Miraglia was very disappointing and did not match the listing. I was asked to pay extra money (€24 and €90 in cash without receipt), which was not disclosed at the time of booking. The landlord is constantly present in the property, which was not mentioned, and this created a very uncomfortable environment. He even knocked on the door while I was showering, and the hot water stops after about 8 minutes. The room is smaller than expected, poorly ventilated, and the lock does not feel secure. I did not feel safe leaving my belongings in the room. The kitchen was not usable, and overall cleanliness was below expectations. Overall, the experience lacked privacy, comfort, and transparency.

City with nice neighborhoods, but center of city too messy and noisy for my taste. Going at the end of March was probably a little too early if you like spring colors and enjoying life on outside cafes and restaurants.

Naples is quite an eye opener as to how people live in differing parts of a busy city. The Spanish Quarter is an experience in itself with dark narrow streets and a bustling vibe. There are other areas of the city where clearly the local folk have a different attitude towards hygiene standards and how their area is presented. Its a busy city and relatively cheap to shop and travel around. We never felt in any danger albeit we chose not to venture down some streets after dark. Beware of the traffic as there appear to be no road rules as such, bikes and cars appear from nowhere, most having no regard to traffic signs and signals. All-in-all a great experience as well as being a great base to see the main attractions in the Bay of Naples.

Truey and amazing city, yes it's a bit gritty and rough around the edges and no wall is left un-graffitied or postered, but if you love Italy, the Italians, their history and culture and their food, this is a must visit for the ultimate Italian experience.

Dirty and full of litter on the streets. One of the least clean cities I have ever visited. Some amazing food, and the history in Pompeii and Herculaneum is an absolute not-to-miss; but I would recommend staying away from Naples and travelling to visit them. The public transit system is chaotic, and not well signposted or explained anywhere online. Even asking locals for help didn't always work - some of them were lost/confused with us too. One taxi driver stated he preferred to drive in the city than use the trains!

Excellent accommodation with friendly, helpful staff. Room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Location is great with easy access to Napoli centrale station and metro. Plenty of food options nearby. We read plenty of previous reviews about the bad neighbourhood but this was just a typical Naples area (maybe guests had only experienced other parts of Italy previously) - the accommodation is secure in a private building on a main street which is well lit and plenty of people around.

Stayed as part of our touring trip of Italy including 15 stays and this one was the best by far! Incredible host that met us literally on the street of the property so make sure our motorbike was parked securely and then made us feel most welcome. We had many recommendations of places to go and we took the advice and enjoyed our stay. The beauty of the accommodation was that it was a cool and quiet retreat from busy Naples. Our stay was just perfect 👌🏻 and the host was the best!

By far the most exquisite room we have experienced in italy. When in naples, this place is a must! From the safety, the location to the interior design - everything was perfect. So much space! It is the largest apartment we have encountered on our 5 weeks in Italy and really appreciate having extra room! It is very convenient to the train station and metro and an easy walk into the historic area of Naples. Staff were excellent- good recommendations and advice.
