Our recent stay at the Sporting Club was nothing short of spectacular. This charming, family-run establishment is truly a hidden gem. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the young manager, whose genuine hospitality set the tone for our entire stay. He made sure we were comfortable and attended to every need with remarkable attentiveness. The atmosphere at the Sporting Club is authentically Italian, which added to the charm and appeal of our visit. We absolutely loved the ambiance—it felt like a delightful escape into the heart of Italy. The culinary experience was a highlight of our stay. The manager's father, who is also the chef, prepared the best meals we had during our entire trip in Italy. His dishes are crafted with passion and expertise, making each meal a memorable experience. One day, when the restaurant was closed for lunch, they went out of their way to prepare us a fantastic pasta dish so we wouldn't have to venture out in the rain. This level of care and thoughtfulness was truly exceptional. Overall, we can't recommend the Sporting Club highly enough. It combines warm, family-style hospitality with top-notch cuisine in a setting that exudes Italian charm. If you are looking for an authentic and delightful place to stay, this is it.

Facilities were very good and the location is ideal for everything as it is fairly central. Peter the manager got gluten free food in for breakfast too. Nothing was too much trouble.

The hotel room was spacious and very clean. Staff was welcoming and very helpful. We needed to go to Lake Como and they helped us to find the bus stop. When we needed a taxi, the receptiomist made all arrangements for us. We really enjoyed our stay. The view of the lake and mountains from the room was just amazing!

Our stay at the Albergo Esposito was great. In addition to the expected amenities and service, the host went out of his way to help us to the cable car and made our day. Would definitely be back if I'm ever back in Barzio.

The hotel has a family and friendly atmosphere. There is also a wonderful restaurant with good prices and incredibly tasty food. Delicious breakfast. The rooms are clean. We really liked everything!

We had a wonderful stay here and came home with truly great experiences! The hotel is very modern, comfortable, and pleasantly quiet, away from the noise of the city. Our room and bathroom were spotless, and the staff took care of the cleanliness every single day. From the balcony we had a beautiful view of the mountains and a direct view of the bell tower, which created a cozy and intimate atmosphere in the evenings while sitting outside. The staff were extremely friendly, kind, and welcoming, making us feel almost like family. Breakfast was delicious with a wide variety to choose from, and nothing was missing. The hotel is only a 5-minute walk from the train station, and nearby you can find a grocery store and a tobacconist. We can only recommend this place – thank you, Albergo Nicolin!

Had a lovely stay at Mamma Ciccia, and would definitely recommend them to anyone else going to Mandello del Lario. They are an easy 10 minute walk from the train station and only a street over from the lake so a really good location to explore Lake Como! All the staff were so friendly and welcoming, I felt really at ease being a solo traveller and you can tell they really care. I had a single room which was basic but had everything I needed including a desk, fridge and free wifi, and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was buffet style with lots of cold options (can order a lovely coffee). The highlight was eating at the bistro, this was the best meal of my trip having tried a few of the other local restaurants so I thoroughly recommend eating there in the evening if you can!

I was able to fully experience Italian culture and food, and the hotel staff, especially Roberto, were friendly and kind. It was close to the train station and ferry station, so it was easy to get around.
