It is an excellent place for relaxation, with its own beach at very short walking distance from the hotel. For those who wish to swim, take a sunbath and read a good book it is perfect. They provided mattresses (and towels) to the sunbeds which added immensely to the confort. The sea at the Hotel beach was crystal clear with ideal temperature for swimming. Though we were there in the main season it was neither noisy or crowded. There was some mistake in the room description at the booking site, but the hotel handled it very professionally to our full satisfaction. The breakfast is difficult to top: great variety of fresh fruits, cheese, Parma ham, freshly made fruit juices, excellent coffee within a very nice scenery around the pool , to jus mention a few. We were first concerned about the parking, but the parking lot was huge and we got all the assistance. The rooms and the hotel interior and exterior (extremely large garden) was perfectly fine, functional, well maintained, clean and confortable.
The hotel is at the city limits, but Bordighera center and the promenade is well within a walking distance and it is in fact a nice walk to go there late afternoon and evening. There was some gastro-event when we were there and most restaurants were having booths ath the promanade to serve foods and drinks. It was very lively and was a nice complement to the quiet elegance and decency of the hotel.
The excellent location and service certainly comes at a price, but there were no hiden costs...

The hoteland rooms did not match the pictures. Rooms were very basic. The breakfast room was dark. The sea view was not a view at all. Overall the hotel was at the most a 2 star and not worth the money. We booked for two nights but only stayed one night.
The room was very clean so no complaint there but small and the beds were hard and overall i looked more like a hostel. than a hotel.

Bordighera is a beautiful town, both the old part and the new. It has an interesting history and it’s worth going to the Clarence Bicknell museum.
Try a farinata at one of the restaurants or take aways - a tasty vegan savoury dish which is found in Liguria, Nice and Sardinia.

A delightful boardwalk.
A delightful boardwalk. Reminds me of a smaller version of "Venice Beach" CA. Plenty of sights, sounds. Plenty of beach areas, and cafe's. Really a great place to stroll and breathe it all in. Was the best part of my trip to Italy.

Bordighera is a lively town with an interesting old quarter.
Bordighera is a lively town with an interesting old quarter. The beaches are pebble and shingle but varied and plentiful. I would recommend La Reserve where you can swim of the rocks and eat sea food in the restaurant. Access to the hilltop villages is easy and well worth a detour or two. The Conad superstore is fabulous with a huge selection of fresh produce, meat and Italian delicacies. A good place to stay en route to Italy or France.

Many visitors to this part of the world head off to the French cote d'Azur but this part of the Italian Riviera is also worth a visit. Bordighera is a beautiful town with lovely beaches a well preserved old town and gardens overlooking the sea. It also has superb restaurants cafes and shops. Also worth a visit is the next town along the coast, Ospedaletti which is as nice and has a great seafront and old town.

A very cozy appartament, perfect for 2 persons. In the heart of the old Bordighera town, surrounded by many local restaurants, bars, shops. Strategic position, only 5 min walking to the port, where you can eat in the evening fresh see food from local fishers. If you want to stay in place close to the see but also explore the Bordighera beautiful antient village, this place would be perfect. The apartment is new, full equiped with all necessary things for a comfortable stay.
Everything. The stay was exceptional and we were sad we had to leave. From the cozy hotel to the nice view and ultimately what made our stay even more pleasurable was definitely the courtesy and the kindness of Cesare and Laura the two owners of the hotel. It has a wonderful sea and hills view, 1 minute walking to a private small beach and a great restaurant/cafè nearby. Everything we needed was there and we will absolutely go back.
