Wonder place, amazing hosts. We spent here only one night on our way from Rome to Florence, and everything pas perfect. When we arrived they greeted us with fresh fruits! The room had AC, and we were also supplied with bug repellents (much need around this time of year). All in all - great stay, amazing hosts.

The place is fabulous! It’s situated in a quiet and peaceful area, immersed in the most gorgeous scenery with trees, roses and green lawns everywhere! There are swimming pools surrounded by roses in flower and even a small playground for children! Silvia, the host, is amazing. She’s very kind, flexible and always willing to meet your needs. She very kindly agreed to an early check in, when it was convenient for me and she places my parents, who were arriving the day after me, in a lovely, spacey and bright studio right next to my room. Their studio flat had all the comforts and my room was big, beautiful and very comfortable too. My borother, who lives in the sorrounding area, took his children to visit us and they had a great time playing in the little playground and running around the swimming pond on the grass. Overall, a great stay, which very much exceeded my expectations. I can’t thank Silvia enough for her kindness!

Having been a pilgrim and having made stops double the distance from Rome, I chose Formello and the B&B where I stayed #Nonna Loretta was located directly on the Francigena, an excellent structure, very clean, quiet. The Antichi sapori restaurant was excellent and the price was also excellent.

The small town is decidedly quaint.

The small town is decidedly quaint. The museum and the keep are not to be missed. Traditional cuisine is available both in Formello and the surrounding area. Formello is absolutely perfect for those who love relaxation, history, and nature. Lake Bracciano is about half an hour from the village. It's also convenient for reaching Rome and Viterbo.

Great hosts, clean room and bathroom and a great breakfast. I had to go to Rome for a day and stayed here as an alternative the day before, so I drove my car and stoped at formello to stay the afternoon and night with my girlfriend the night before, knowing that we were just 30 minutes away from Rome the next day. Would love to go back, I would recommend la scaletta to anyone.

The location was fantastic. At the end of a quiet Street. The property was at the highest point in Formello. This is a Family Home since 1960. It has everything a family would want away form the hustle & bustle of Rome. Access to Rome via La Storta Train station. The Metro is probably the cleanest Ive travelled. No need to drive into Rome.

The location suited us meeting with family who live in Formello, only 30mins to Rome. The property was absolutely perfect and the room was spotlessly clean. The owners were very friendly and hospitable. I would highly recommend this property if a smaller, rural location is preferred
