Just incredible. The room was lovely and silent, bed was comfy, nice hot shower, the location was perfect and the breakfast.... AMAZING! Highly recommend this hotel. Absolutely worth it.

Beautiful alpine locality.

Beautiful alpine locality. Not over commercialised compared to other ski resorts - this is still a town, with mainly local tourists. Proximity and choice of walking trails was excellent. Good one day walks to Monte Moro and Rifugo Zamponi Zappa, the lake and glaciers.

I wouldn't recommend Macugnaga for a summer stay at the foot...

I wouldn't recommend Macugnaga for a summer stay at the foot of the Monte Rosa. The valley is very narrow and rainy. Hikes are limited. On a cloudy day, the place can be slightly sinister. If you wish to see the Monte Rosa in all its glory, rather go to the Ayas or Gressoney valleys or to Zermatt on the Swiss side.

The room is warm and has everything I need, even disposable slippers. The staff is super-friendly. I had dinner in the hotel and it was delicious. The breakfast has rich variety of food. The hotel has private parking - very handy.
