La Marsa Vacances, hotel in Mondello

Featuring a private access to the sea, La Marsa Vacances offers apartments and bungalows with views of the Gulf of Mondello and free WiFi in public areas.

The nice bungalow houses were a perfect fit for our family of four. The kitchenette came in good use for the days we wanted to stay in and cook for ourselves and the patio was so nice to sit in and enjoy dinners. The rooftop provides for amazing views of the ocean and the surrounding mountains. We loved the property itself and the direct access to the ocean which is very clear and perfect for snorkelling. We loved that the location and property is pretty quiet but since this is a suburb of Palermo a car is necessary. The restaurant on site was very nice and had a good variety.

Villa Mondello, hotel in Mondello

Offering a garden and garden view, Villa Mondello is set in Mondello, 2.9 km from Mondello beach and 13 km from Fontana Pretoria.

Villa Mondello has a perfect location, it's near the beach, buses, centre, shops and restaurants. I was lucky because the room was prepared at noon and Giorgio gave me the possibility to check-in early. He was very kind and showed and explained me everything. The room is a bit dated but it's an Italian feeling. The room was really spacious, comfortable, light with big windows. The wifi and AC were working perfectly. There was a drying rack so you could dry your wet clothes outside. Also a table with chairs so you can relax in the garden. There's a big fridge, a TV, hair dryer. The bed and pillows were comfortable.

Mondello is a little bit boring sicilian town, with less attractions and do not have this lovely Italian vibe and tasty food ( just a few places) . The beach is fine, but organization not. The sea is wonderful! A little bit disappointed ,that we have chosen this place on the Sicily for our vacation, Taormania and places around it are the way more beautiful! Recommend to stay there.

I would NOT recommend Mondello simply because it is so dirty!!! There are many other beautiful CLEAN beaches in Sicily and it was extremely disappointing to see this. Even the town is not clean - the streets are not clean and garbage everywhere. Totally NOT worth it!! Go to the southern part of Sicily

Mondello is stuck somewhere at the end of the 80's and is the last place to visit with family and kids. There is nothing to see or to do. The beach is anything but clean. Houses and streets are degraded and no one seems to care. Streets are dirty, piles of trash are everywhere. Altough there are restaurants, the service and the offer is far behind of anything you get in other places in Italy. I would not visit Mondello again, but if one does want to go, I would advise to spend no more than one afternoon. Check out the "not for marketing" real-life photos of what you get when walking around or trying to take a look to the sea from the window of "Holiday & House - Imparato Vacanze Prestige Mondello", Via Delfini 7, 90151 Mondello, Italy.

This was my first time to Mondello.

This was my first time to Mondello. Overall, it was better than expected. My family was looking for a simple beach trip, and Mondello served this purpose very well. There were plenty of restaurants for us to enjoy in the area. There were private beach access areas where you can rent some beach chairs and an umbrella, plus plenty of public beach areas to access as well. If you needed to go into Palermo, you can catch a few different bus routes. We used the 806 bus route to get into more of the heart of Palermo in our case.

Mondello has a lot to offer anyone, from singles, young and old, families and retirees. We went in early May, so the weather was a bit on the cool side, but there was still plenty of people on the beach. The crowd size at that time of year was manageable. There are plenty of places to eat and we enjoyed good food. It is a very walkable area. It is not a far drive from Palermo City Center (average 30 -40 minutes depending on traffic).

Sand beach, free next to the water.

Sand beach, free next to the water. Wonderful view from the beach. We tried trattoria "L'angolo di Mondello Trattoria da Franco" on Piazza Mondello and "Alle Terrazze". The first one (Franco) is a family-driven local, traditional place, the second one is a first-class restaurant with a very high standard, with excellent panorama view.

We spent one night with our dog in this beautiful villa in Mondello, near the beach. The room was upstairs ( a bit uncomfortable for one night), but bed an bathroom were splendid. In the morning a fantastic breakfast with very tasty Cappucino and local cakes/ sweets/ hearty choices. Very friendly staff, Carla was very helpful as she served breakfast at 7 am as we had to catch the ferry. Absolute recommendation.

Really nice place , very clean, cozy and we found everything and even more what we needed in kitchen and bathroom! Definitely can recommend this house and we are so grateful to the perfect hosts! In this house, I can see that the owners are trying very hard to provide the best service and this is true! If you are planning to stay near Mondello beach then choose only this option, you won’t find a better one!
