The staff were very attentive and welcoming, the location of the hotel is very close to the coastline and lots of good restaurants nearby! Every morning when I pushed the window open there were seagulls flying by and the view was just stunning! The room facilities are new and hygienic.

The hotel staff were so friendly and so helpful. They helped us hire a wheelchair for my dad which made such a difference to our holiday. The hotel was always clean and in a very central position to everything. The breakfast was really good too. We had such a good experience. Thank you to all the staff!

This a great town for a small stay (2 to 4 days).

This a great town for a small stay (2 to 4 days). Parking is a huge challenge, and getting your luggage into the historic center (a ZTL you cannot drive in) is another significant challenge. We had to park near the beach at significant daily cost and drag our bags across the cobblestones to our lodging. Not unusual for Europe, but pointing out the logistical challenges. We visited the beach often, but it gets insanely crowded (as many popular Italian beaches do.) The town is so lively, and the historic area is so nice. it's worth the challenges, as long as you plan for them.

Cefalu is charming and beautiful, we enjoyed strolling the streets tasting the food from vendors and shopping in the shops. We also enjoyed the meals we had in the restaurants we eat in. We loved all the music and singers at night. The beach was insane with many people - we did not go there since we had beach access at our resort.

The facilities at Santa Barbara are very good, being on the ground floor was a drawback as the sound proofing in between floors isn't very good. Al Faro was a favourite restaurant and Liberties in Cefalu, their gnocchi was amazing with amazing sea views. I walked everywhere so can't comment on the buses. I did the Rocca walk which was worth it for the views over Cefalu. The best supermarket is called Gourmet Deco is big enough to get everything you need unlike the other ones which are very small and basic.

We only stayed for 2 nights but it was clear that the local people take great pride in their beautiful city because the streets were very clean and well maintained. The restaurants and shops were just lovely. It was a pleasure walking around the old streets and enjoying the atmosphere

We had a wonderful stay in Cefalù, and this home was truly part of what made our trip special. The location is perfect — centrally located with a grocery store just steps away, and within moments you are walking through the historic streets of Cefalù. Whether you want a quick bite, a coffee, gelato, or a long relaxing dinner, there are wonderful options in every direction. I traveled with my 12-year-old daughter, and originally we planned to fill our days with excursions. Instead, the beauty of Cefalù, the beach, the restaurants, and the ability to truly rest made us slow down and enjoy simply being there. The home itself was perfect for a beach stay. One of my favorite features was the entrance area — almost like a “mud room.” After returning from the beach, we could easily leave our umbrellas, floats, sandy bags, and beach items there. The showers, sinks, and washing machine are right nearby, which made it so convenient to rinse off, wash clothes, and keep the rest of the home clean and sand-free. The apartment has two floors, and honestly, the photos do not fully capture how lovely the space is. I was able to comfortably do remote work both from the kitchen area and the sitting room. The layout gave us space to relax and feel at home. Each evening, seeing the sunset was easy, and returning through the courtyard entrance felt magical. I had read a review mentioning that there was no light, but we found that there are light switches, and the courtyard at night was actually one of the most charming parts of the experience. It gives you the feeling that you are truly in Sicily — somewhere peaceful, authentic, and made for slowing down. A beautiful home, a perfect location, and a place where we were genuinely able to rest. We would happily return.

Cefalù is a beautiful seaside town with fantastic beaches, great food, and a relaxed atmosphere. It's incredibly photogenic, with plenty of charming streets and coastal views to explore. One tip: beach umbrellas and sun loungers can be quite expensive, so it's worth bringing your own if possible. While Cefalù is lovely, it's not a place with endless activities, and I found that 2–3 nights was the perfect amount of time to enjoy everything without feeling rushed. The town becomes very busy from mid-June through August, so I'd recommend visiting outside the peak season. May is a great choice—sea temperatures can still be a little cool, but the weather is usually warm enough for sunbathing and enjoying the beach. April can be quite windy. My favorite time to visit is from mid-September onwards, when the crowds have thinned out but the weather is still excellent. In some years, it's even warm enough to swim well into October. Overall, visiting during the shoulder season offers the best experience: lower prices, fewer crowds, and a more relaxed atmosphere while still enjoying everything Cefalù has to offer.

Great location. Immediately beside the restaurants, the sights and the beaches. Rocco was a fantastic host. Arranged taxis for us from and to the train station. Advised on best sights, beaches and restaurants. In fact he booked two restaurants for us both of which were great. Also advised on where to go for a really good glass of wine! Rocco also provided us with a great breakfast each morning and provided us with great conversation about Sicily and Italy.

Spacious accomodation that would be ample for a family and children (we travelled as a couple). Comfy memory foam mattress, and pin drop silence at night- managed a solid 8 hours sleep every night! The view from the balcony is beautiful. Don't let the other reviews be a factor in your decision making - there's much more challenging roads in Sicily especially in the East and South of the island.
