Hotel Moderno, hotel in Pavia

Stay in this elegant, 4-star hotel set in an historic building in the centre of Pavia, near the main railway and coach stations, and just off Piazza della Minerva.

The hotel is located opposite the main train station. Our room was small but comfortable with drawers and clothes hanging spaces with coat hangers; kettle with drinks sachets; TV, safe, fridge stocked with payable drinks and snacks; bathroom with shower and plenty of towels; air con and an opening window. Breakfast was self service cold meats, cheeses, rolls, croissants, cereals, fruits, yogurts, American pancakes with a variety of spreads - coffee, scrambled eggs and toast was ordered through the waitress. There is a bar with seating and any drinks ordered were accompanied with a variety of snacks. The hotel has some great artwork! The hotel is situated about a 10min walk from Piazza della Vittoria which is the main square by the cathedral - numerous cafes and restaurants, great for relaxing and watching Italian life and very lively at night. To finish I would say the hotel staff are friendly and very helpful - Elena, a receptionist, booked a hairdresser appointment for me; another gentleman (whose name I didn't get) recommended and booked an excellent restaurant which met all our needs and requirements (2 dogs, 2 young children, 8 adults). I would thoroughly recommend a stay at Hotel Moderno.

30Cavour luxury suites, hotel in Pavia

Offering city views, 30Cavour luxury suites is an accommodation located in Pavia, 32 km from Forum Assago and 37 km from Darsena.

It was a very satisfying stay. I would like to thank the suit's owner for the following things: (1) Being responsive before the arrival and just before getting the keys of the suit. (2) Clean and secure suit. Also, the house is in the middle of the centre and 10 mins from the train station on the walk. For the next time, we will not look for another place to stay and will directly book this suit. It is definitely recommended!

Pavia is very nice city, with a lot of students and low quantity of tourists. Has quite many places to visit, although nice pathway near the river, Pavia needs to be descovered by feet. As well Milan is reachable easily less than 30 min by train. City has many nice restaurants where local eat every day, you can get lunch deal for 12-15€ per person ant that's include first, second plate glass of wine usually even a dessert. Want to feel more like local take aperitivo in Piazza della Vittoria where coctail will cost like 7-8€ and full plate of snacks included.

A pleasant untouristy city with some lovely old streets and cathedral in the centre. The Certosa, a few miles north, is breathtaking and more stunning than many cathedrals - which is saying something in Italy! We also used Pavia as a quieter location from which to visit Milan. Frequent trains go there and they are very cheap.

Compact, clean and easy to access with beautiful historic building and a good vibe, a small city with a country feel and not as congested as Milan. A great position to visit the little know ultra-po-pavese region of Borgo Priolo area with its fantastic-not-to-be missed Veciu Alpin in Casteggio

If you plan to visit Milan, visit this lovely town for a day or two! It has a lot of interesting places to go for a walk and opportunities for a scavenger hunt! The people living there are very kind and helpful! For an authentic Italian dinner, visit "Il Piccolo Arcobaleno" pizzeria.

Small city with a calm and nice flair combined with history (university, cathedral, bridge) and good food. Try out the risotto typical for that area. If you are in a rush, one day is enough to see everything.

Beautiful historical city with warm receptive people.

Beautiful historical city with warm receptive people. I stay around University of Pavia. It was a very busy and lively environment, surrounded by shopping malls in the major streets leading to the wide open city centre.

The location is great, on the river bank in the old city. The apartment has very high ceilings, giving an extra spacious feel in the already roomy place. From the photos, it's quite clear what to expect. Great and indispensable: insect screens everywhere, including sliding screens outside the balcony doors. We were leaving a bit later on the day of our departure, there was no problem leaving the luggage longer to take more time to enjoy Pavia before getting on the train. Thank you Anna!!

First of all I must say that this is a beautiful hotel. The girls on reception were amazing from the start. Extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was lovely and the rooms are so comfortable. I would give this hotel a solid 8/10 however the staff definitely push it to a 10/10. Thank you for making myself and my colleagues stay a smooth one. We will be back!!

We were in 4-person room and it was good. The room was big and clean. Everything in this hotel is GOOD for this price. I would recommend this hotel for business and tourism trips. There is kitchen, laundry and lounge zone at ground floor. In our room we had bathroom. The personal rly kind, the process of reservation and check-in was also really easy.
