SpainThe location near the beach and within walking distance to the old town is great. The terrace overlooking the sea is beautiful. The staff is friendly and helpful. There is a really great local restaurant, Pizzeria la Playa, nearby where we enjoyed a delicious meal served by attentive waiters. This is a place to revisit.

AustraliaWe absolutely loved our stay at Suite 14. It exceeded our expectations in every way. It was exceptionally clean, modern and in a great location to the beach and restaurants. In particular our hosts Veronica and Luigi were amazing and we cannot thank them enough for their hospitality and generosity. They picked us up and dropped us back to the train station. Recommended a great boat tour and restaurant. They were easy to communicate with and were very responsive. They made our stay in Scalea even more enjoyable.

Having only just sold my apartment in Scalea after 20...
Having only just sold my apartment in Scalea after 20 wonderful years, I cannot praise Scalea enough. Unfortunately Old Father Time is catching up with me and caused the sale. Scalea is a great town in Calabria with the sea, mountains , shopping centre , several supermarkets, and loads of good restaurants in Scalea itself and the surrounding area. I have found the locals friendly and helpful.

Scale is very nice small town 2 hours from Naples.
Scale is very nice small town 2 hours from Naples. Recommend visiting up to July and from September. In August a lot of Italians come there to spend their holiday and town of 10 000 becomes a town of 150 000. Great beaches, a lot of sightseeing and nearby location to visit. Very friendly people. 178 km by car from Naples. Trains however go almost every hour. If you fancy an original Sicilian food from fresh seafood and do not mind paying a little bit extra go to Ristorante Insieme.

Scalea is a historic town, so besides the beach and the sun...
Scalea is a historic town, so besides the beach and the sun you can also discover its historical charm. The town is rugged. Don't be afraid of gentle hills ( almost all towns in Italy are like this).

Lovely beach town with good restaurants. la Piazzaetta is a favorite of the locals who entertained us on open-mike night. Antica Trattoria a Taverna is a long walk uphill to the old town. We had half liter of vino bianco locale with the shared special antipasti served with bread which was very filling. The pasta dishes that followed were delicious but we should have shared that too. Best not to visit Scalea in July or August when it is very crowded. We visited in mid-September and had a very nice time.

Scalea is a warm and friendly town.
Scalea is a warm and friendly town. The restaurants are abundant and serve outstanding Calabrian cuisine. The beaches are some of the most beautiful in the world. If you are traveling with a young family, there is much to do...not to mention how safe Scalea feels.

Loved our accommodation, especially the views and proximity to Scalea. There is everything you need in Scalea and it is only a very short drive from the accommodation. Great restaurants, beaches and centre storico.

The property was finished to a very high specification throughout, stylish and modern but welcoming and comfortable. The location was in walking distance to the beach and surrounding restaurants and public parking was available opposite. We had a lovely little terrace which overlooked the front of the property too! Host communication was good and check in was really simple and easy. Would recommend to anyone visiting Scalea!

It was a great spread of a breakfast all cold but delicious. We had to leave at 6.30 and it was not a problem
Highly recommend this establishment.
Very helpful and they offered to settle a parking ticket we received in the town as we did not have any more days there in Scalea. ( obviously we gave them the money to cover the parking ticket)
