Clean, comfortable simple room, with basic amenities. Friendly hosts, especially the wife. Setting is small, picturesque rural village in agricultural area beside the ocean, far from Ishigaki town. Peaceful and serene. Should be very quiet, except that frogs (I think they were frogs) were really loud at night in the creek nearby (I slept with the terrace door open). I think that would only be an issue certain times of the year 😊.

the whole resort concept is excellent at Painushima. loved the big tabs both indoor and outdoor, the bbq facilities made it feel like a glamorous trip. loved every bit of the stay. highly recommended.
