The house is a traditional old country house, but renovated and decorated very nicely. The owner decorated with cute furniture and lights, even fresh flowers for us! We love the small wood deck and garden, nice to sit and relax there. The kitchen is fully equipped with basic seasonings, so no worry about cooking your meal by yourself. And owner bought us a lot of bagles for the breakfast. There is no supermarket and convenience store nearby, but there is a small local shop opened beside the hot spring facility. It is a nice place to relax and experience the countyside of Itoshima area. Thank you very much for the nice stay!!

It was a dormitory and I was worrying about the noise. But it was very quiet at night and lights were turned off by the staff at 11pm, which was nice. I was able to sleep well. The location is walkable from the station. Neighborhood is quiet. There was a map showing shops and restaurants nearby at the guesthouse. The owner kindly told us a vegetarian dinner option (an udon restaurant which opens till late, just 5min walk from the guesthouse). Luggage storage after checkout was also possible.

The host was very welcoming and helped us cook our dinners. He offered us his food, oil, array of soya sauces to supplement our meals. He was very kind and generous with his time! Our room was a sauna when we arrived (36 degrees!), but quickly cooled down with the A/C. It was quite big with a comfortable double bed, desk, and balcony.

The raw food was good. The dinner specials for guests staying there were good. Not enough hot foods. The non-English speaking staff were very helpful and accommodating with me and my translation app. The paths throughout the whole island were for the most part paved. Excellent views of wildlife, foliage, and slow walks through small villages. The beach was good for combing.

Beautiful, quiet and peaceful location away from the hustle and bustle of town. The hotel sits right on the beachfront with an unobstructed view of the the ocean, Torishima and Takashima islands as well as the northern coast and at night you can see the train come around the tip of the bay.

It was a perfectly manicured property and every room offered a breathtaking ocean view. Their kaiseki dinner was delicious and their service was to die for. We told them that we’re celebrating our husbands’ big birthday there and we’re what they’d come up with. They offered them a lovely birthday cake with traditional Japanese celebration attire for them to try on! We loved their care and wonderful hospitality.
