A wonderful traditional stay — the tatami room was beautiful, authentic, and calm. Our host, a lovely madam, was incredibly kind and welcoming and made us feel at home. Breakfast was fantastic. Highly recommended for a genuine Japanese experience.

Very clean and cozy house near the sea in Owase. Great location for exploring country-side nearby locations like Nachi Waterfall/Nachi Kumano Grand Shrine (VERY RECOMENDED!!!). Also it has parking lot near the house

We enjoyed a lot the huge rooms (compared to other hotels in Japan), the size of the bed and the good quality of the mattress & pillows, the nice decoration, the friendly and English speaking staff, the free parking lot, the pleasant rest area to gather with the family, the great location in Odai. After finishing Kumano Kodo, we made this place our last stop. This harborfront inn provided an unforgettable family-run experience, complete with incredible views of many huge tonbi soaring over the water. The hosts went above and beyond—the daughter even drove me to the supermarket so we could buy dinner, and the owner served a delicious breakfast while sharing the local origins of the fish. Between the warm hospitality and beautiful upstairs renovations featuring the most advanced toilet of our entire trip, it was truly a wonderful homestay.
