Very friendly and helpful host. Delicious meals. Cozy atmosphere. Beautiful views to the lake. Good location - less than 10 minutes on foot from the bus terminal, and all the other main attractions are close by as well.

Impressive architecture! Very beautiful interior design. Very clean everywhere. The staff was very kind and very keen to assist us. The location is perfect if you want to spend a short amount of time surrounded by nature.

The onsen on the verandah of the room was amazing at the end of a long day of walking. The hotel is a little unusual, by western standards, but the staff are great, the room comfortable and Nikko is amazing in autumn colours.

Peaceful and very natural. I like onsen here. Breakfast is good. Staff is so nice. There is free coffee self service all day. I would like to visit again.

The Inn was very good (clean, confortable, well located). The owners were extremely friendly and helpful with advice for our day trips. Breakfast and dinner were very tasty. We enjoyed our time there and can highly recommend staying there.

Small hotel, located 20 mins from the world heritage bridge stop. Generally a very good location, many things around to see. The staff is polite, we left our luggage after the checkout to go hike for almost 7 hours there (were expecting up to 5 hours) and they allowed it - very nice 🙂 The onsen (public bath) is clean, hot and with some bushes so it's not just stone walls. Breakfast and dinner were overall great and we were full after breakfast to go for 7 hour hike to the temples and were not much hungry until dinner at 7pm 👌🏻

Lovely staff and free shuttle to the station. Beds the most comfortable we had in Japan and rooms overall the biggest too. Was nice to have such a big hot tub all to ourselves. Bus stop right outside too

Incredible experience from start to finish. I only stayed one night, but I felt immediately at home and could not have been happier. The private, in-room onsen was the highlight of the room without question. Such a wonderful way to unwind and I spent hours in there. They keep the onsen very hot, hotter than most I've been to, but it's easy to add cold water to cool it down and if you go too far, a call to the front desk will have hot water piping back in. I enjoyed soaking while watching the snow fall through the open window - and was very comfortable! The room was extremely spacious with sliding partitions for each area, so if traveling with a partner or family, it would be easy to create privacy when needed. In-room amenities were great. Nice lotions, soaps, etc. Lighting in the room was very nice - I believe about 6 different settings you can choose from to create the mood you're looking for. The meals were absolutely top notch and unforgettable, both the dinner and breakfast. I can't say enough good things but the food surpassed all my expectations. Simply lovely. Checking in and out was very smooth and simple. It was easy to catch a taxi from directly outside Tobu Nikko station and when it was time to leave, the staff called a taxi for me.

On approach our Disney themed guest house was quite unusual for 2 middle aged Nzers. ..as our 2 night stay unfolded we were both delighted and overwhelmed by the kindness, talent and exceptional food our hosts provided. The other local guests were very welcoming and Inclusive of us. Our stay was heart warming, and we suspect will be a high light of our visit to japan. Situated up a steep mountain rd. The room was a big size, bright, quiet, clean, and comfortable.

Neat and clean, comfortable for a family and staff were very friendly in accommodating the needs.
