Room number 202 had a very nice view! Close to the bus stop. Close to a small nice beach.

The location, the view from the room, super comfortable room, sand bath, very kind staff.

The hotel is located rather close to the port, bus stop and supermarket. Rooms are big enough and comfortable. Traditional Japanese breakfast was excellent. Stuff was so kind. Price is resonable. We wish to use the same hotel again.

Breakfast, dinner both were really good. The location is great given that you want to see/hike around Mihara-san. The Onsen outside pool has a fantatsic view on Mihara-san, it's gorgeous. Hotel offers a free shuttle bus service, picking you up from the port and drive you back to the port but only once a day in either direction. There also stops a regular bus right infront of the hotel several times a day.

It was the last hotel available on the island during our stay. It’s clean and staff are friendly.

The owner was absolutely amazing! I don't think I ever met a better host! Her English skills are excellent and was very helpful by showing us poi's and recommending restaurants. We were sad we only booked 2 nights. We will be back!

We had a fantastic stay at Moana Hotel. The location is perfect—just a few steps from the harbor, making it very convenient while still feeling peaceful and authentic. Our room was spacious, clean, and very well equipped. The beds deserve special mention—the mattresses were excellent and made for a very comfortable night’s sleep. What truly makes this place special, however, is the host. Suhuku turns a simple stay into a real experience. From the warm and refreshing welcome drink to her thoughtful advice on planning our volcano hikes, she made us feel immediately at home. The real highlight was Suhuku’s taxi service. She not only drives you, she creates an experience: taking us to the trailhead for our hike, picking us up at the onsen afterward, bringing us to a neighboring village for dinner, and even collecting us after the restaurant—all along beautiful panoramic routes. There is no rushing—she clearly takes pride in showing the beauty of the island. Another unforgettable moment was breakfast, where we enjoyed a spectacular view of Mount Fuji—simply breathtaking and the perfect way to start the day. This level of care and individuality made us feel like VIP guests throughout our stay. Suhuku’s Moana Hotel is an absolute insider tip—we would highly recommend it and would definitely come back.
