Definitely should stay for a day at least. The shopping street leading to Narita temple is quite nice and a great way to get last minute souvenirs. A lot of nice restaurant options too. Also consider going to Narita AEON for lunch/dinner and last min shopping.
Great little guesthouse. Modern Japanese style rooms with comfortable futon type beds (firm). Everything was labeled in English and Japanese, which made it easy getting situated. This quaint guesthouse is a 5 minute walk from Narita Station (1st stop from airport-runs every 15 minutes-ticket cost $1.50 US-one way) and 5 minutes from foos and shopping, another 10 minutes to the Nartisan Temple. We'll rent the guesthouse everytime we have a layover in Narita Airport.
There were some info desks at the airport, and the people there were very friendly and gave you accurate info. I can see the big difference in people between LAX airport and Narita airport. Narita is super clean, and even security people were polite. It is worth spending thousands of dollars to go to Japan because the services you get everywhere in Japan are beyond excellent.
Lovely quiet town with friendly locals. Restaurant staff were always nice,, and have many traditional foods. As I golfer, I was spoilt to have the opportunity of playing multiple courses, even in the 36 degrees heat. There is a large departmental mall with convenient bus transfers. And your 'must do' is to eat eel and raw horsemeat, and to visit Narita temple.
We stayed at APA hotel near the Narita airport. There is a free shuttle to and from the airport/hotel. Around the hotel there are lots of places to go to including Don Quixote, Aeon Mall, Uniqlo and lots of restaurants all just walking distance from the hotel. Although be prepared to walk. While we walked in search of DQ we passed by a temple.
The town is small and quite even though the airport is only a stone throw away. When I was taking a stroll through the town I came across a temple gate. After going through the gate I was pleasantly surprised that the area contained a large temple complex. This temple complex was very well taken care after and absolutely stunning. For those who collect temple stamps (御朱印) this location has 5 different ones.
Based in a quite location with very good connectivity. The town center is just around 20-25mins on foot, also with a public bus stop close by; and hotel has an own scheduled shuttle service to the airport and the Narita train station. The room was spacious, comfortable; bathroom clean and provided with needed amenities. A 7-11 convenience store is located within hotel premises. Staff was friendly and helpful. Airport is around 30 minutes by the shuttle (shared with Hilton hotel).
The hotel had a shuttle bus to and from Narita airport which runs frequently which I found very helpful. From getting off the bus to getting into my room the staff were very supportive and clear about where we should go. When checking in after every customer they serve they disinfected the counter as well. They check-in was also very thorough with the staff explaining that the restaurants hours and the free shuttle bus for to the airport the next morning.
Really bad place to stay if you want to get to the airport in the early AM. Needed a taxi in early AM. Staff tried two places then gave up on me. I tried one more then gave up on the whole town. Decided only option was to get up early and walk. Room has no alarm. Desk refuses to do wake up call. As a place with a bed its fine. As an airport hotel, I recommend you stay somewhere more useful.
We stayed here because we had a late flight back from Narita airport to overseas. There are other hotels near the airport but really nothing to do, hence another reason why we stayed in Narita city instead of other places near the airport. The train station is fairly close to the hotel and only 10 minutes to Narita airport by train. Will stay here again.
Narita
Price - the cost justifies its value. Location - right next to terminal 2 of Narita Airport so whoever wants to catch or connect flight early in the morning would benefit from choosing this facility. Spacious enough for a capsule hotel that does not make you claustrophobic. Quiet and dim light - good for passenger who would need full rest.
I like that the hotel just next to the station, Keisei Narita. I enjoyed walking around there a lot. It is very convenient that they have free shuttle bus from hotel to Narita airport. I made a right choice to stay with them and took the shuttle bus to the airport in the next morning. I like the yukata that hotel provides a lot!
This was a quick night stop with a late arrival and early morning departure from Narita Airport. Hotel is conveniently connected by a shuttle bus. Staff were helpful and I also got a room upgrade, probably thanks to my IHG status. It was one of the cheapest options around Narita that night - great value for money.
Coming in from the airport to stay one night, when we got off the train station we could see the hotel, it was a very short walk, and yet it was very quiet at night. So many restaurants out in Narita a short work from the hotel, and there was a convenience store opposite.
I booked one night in the hotel because the following day I was flying from Narita. I liked its proximity to the airport, the cleanliness of the rooms, and the beautiful hot baths. What I did not like was a lot to enumerate!
Free shuttle from the airport and to Narita City. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. I stayed during coronavirus because my flight was canceled, and they were very understanding.
Nice room, free shuttle from airport to hotel, hotel to JR Narita Station & Aeon Mall
