This is THE best place in Yufuin. It was really easy to check in. Yes it's a bit further away from the city centre which makes it a bit more difficult to get to if you don't have a car (you can walk it or take a taxi up there) but it has the most epic view of the mountain. There are two onsens that everyone at the hotel can use, but they are effectively private as once you are in them you lock the door and you can have them to yourselves. The water is fantastic. Refreshing and makes you feel very relaxed. I would stay here at the drop of a hat again. Also make sure you walk up to Oogosha shrine (only 5 mins away) where you can get the experience of visiting a HUGE cedar tree temple and a bamboo forest that is 10x better than Arashiyama.

The guesthouse is beautifully designed I could tell that the owners put a lot of thought into it! Very clean and spacious, each room has its private onsen which we really appreciate. Since we came during winter the living room and bedroom were covered in heating mat which was really thoughtful. The property is a newly started business and at the moment they offer complimentary dinner for guests, which I highly recommend trying (they switch things up everyday and everything tasted delicious). The owners were super hospitable and made us feel right at home!

Tomitaka San is a really friendly and gracious host and made us feel really welcome! All the structures were very beautifully designed and exudes a lot of charm. Although weather was cold, the heating was very good and we felt very comfortable throughout. Dinner and breakfast were simply delicious!

Everything is perfect in ENOWA! The two Michelin star restaurant jimgu is the best dining experience we had so far. Dinner was amazing, especially love the welcoming appetiser served at the greenhouse. All dishes are so well cooked and like a piece of art. The breakfast on next morning was superb!! You don’t expect an inclusive breakfast would be served in such a high level. Their home made cereal is the best! Thank you chef and all the staffs at Enowa. We had the best time here :)
