Salty's is our ideal beach resort. Boho chic, artful, and comfortable throughout (hammocks, swings, floating beds, tons of shade trees). All of the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The restaurant is also charming. The food is delicious and good value. And the vibes are unbeatable. Best of all, the set-up truly allowed us to chat with locals and travelers in a very easy way.

The place is very good value. The best part of the stay was the host. Dorcas was extremely helpful both pre and post our stay. Got my clothes dry cleaned at a very affordable price and she was responsive at any time, that was highly appreciated especially since we were checking out quite early.

We absolutely loved this wonderful and homey hotel! It was the perfect place to come to when we arrived in Mombasa and a wonderful way to break up a trip if going north to Lamu Island or Watamu. The proprietors Erica, Henry and their son Patrick made us feel so welcome and are incredibly kind and genuine without being intrusive. Henry is a master baker from Switzerland who taught the staff to make specialty breads and we were delighted to have some of the BEST croissants we have ever tasted (including the ones in Paris.) The pool is delightful and the grounds are gorgeously landscaped.

Located at Kilifi Creek, just 1.9 mi outside of town and surrounded by a community forest, Distant Relatives Ecolodge and Backpackers features a secluded beach area, a restaurant and outdoor pool.

Beautiful space - literally could not ask for a better area to hang out in. Everything is very clean, the entire staff are wonderful and the common areas make for a great place to hang out. Location is great - super short walk to the beach, bodas available to go anywhere. Even the dorms are lovely, with large comfortable beds. I intended to stay for 2 nights and stayed for 5.
