The booking was easy and great location with a million dollar view. The view would make uo for anything but it didnt have too. Amazing hosts Ms Jen and Ginny make you so welcome you dont feel like checking out. The breakfast is excellent. Cleanliness is a priority for me and that was excellent. Upon arrival you are treated like VIP. I told my hostess :Are you sure you have the right guest? The taxi driver laughed at me and she said "Yes you are Germaine. Am expecting you. And not seeing the place that already touched me. My stay at Serenite was absolutlely beyond expectation. The price was worth every penny and more. I felt very secure.

St. Lucia is close to a Hawaian experience but less commercial. Beautiful, welcoming people with idealic surroundings. Loads to do and see. Seeing Soffriere is absolutely a must. Hire a driver for the day so you can see and do all this location has to offer. Lots of good restaurants and the grocery store isn’t bad ( for the Carribean). We recommend the Coal Pot Restaurant in Castries and the Naked Fishermen (if you can make the 93 steps)! Don’t rent a car. Too difficult to navigate for a tourist. In general, St. Lucian’s don’t provide signage to get you going in the right direction. Definitely get out on the water in some way.
Castries was perfect for our visit. It is close to many sites to see as well as shopping and restaurants. We enjoyed dinner at The Brown Sugar, The Coal Pot, Spinnakers, and Elana's. We visited Pigeon Island National Park where we hiked and enjoyed the lovely beach where Smokey stops by on his boat with beverages! We loved the catamaran excursion that picked us up at our resort and delivered us to the dock where we set sail for Soufriere. In Soufriere we visited the mud baths and stopped by a waterfall for a "power washing", before setting sail back to Castries. One day we had a driver takes us site-seeing and we spent the afternoon at Anse Mamin Beach which was fabulous!
We enjoyed Castries. It's walkable, colorful, with a great Saturday market. The Coal Pot Restaurant on Vigie Cove is superb. We had a wonderful place to stay (in the Poinsettia Villa Apartments). During one of our excursions to the north of St. Lucia, we heard one fellow tourist indicate that he had no desire to see Castries, preferring the fancy malls, upscale restaurants, and casinos in the Rodney Bay area. But we enjoyed the gritty reality of Castries much more--the fisheries with free-range chickens (in the capital city!), the big funeral in the basilica, the market where a fellow-shopper showed me how to choose a mango to be eaten the same day. We have fancy malls here in the U.S., lots of them, but Castries is a totally different experience--and the people speak English so you can really interact with them.

We stayed here three nights total . The. Hotel was recommended by Island Windjammer cruises. We had a lovely time staying at this hotel. The rooms were very nice, the view was spectacular, and the staff was exceptional. Delli- office manage , took wonderful care of us during our visit. She arranged taxi service for us to and from the hotel. Whatever we needed she took care of very quickly and always with a smile. The restaurant was good , Chrissy was wonderful. We would stay here again. Thank you Marigot for a lovely time

I made a mistake in my booking as we wanted to have an apartment close to Castries. This location is half-way between Castries and Rodney Bay. Finally this was fine, as we were easily able to visit both. This can be done cheaply with local mini-busses that go continuously all the day. To the beach it is a 5 min walk. The view from the upper apartments is spectaculuos ! The apartment is well equiped. I also liked the pool. A supermarket is 500 m apart, direction Castries.

Beautiful view, nice little terras and garden in front. Located on a bus route so convenient for cheap travel around the island. Beach is about a 15 min walk down the hill. It's a Sandals Resort beach so mostly American tourists there. No bar available for visitors so bring your own drinks. Nice to pass through Castries every day and experience local island life.
