Our stay at Palaima was one of those rare experiences where you feel not just accommodated, but genuinely welcomed. The location by Lake Rubikiai is absolutely beautiful — peaceful nature, stunning surroundings, and a sense of calm that allows you to fully disconnect from everyday life. What impressed us most was the staff: incredibly warm, friendly, and attentive in a very natural and sincere way. The hospitality never felt formal or forced. The restaurant was also excellent — delicious food, high quality ingredients, and a wonderful atmosphere. You can clearly see that the owners have put an enormous amount of heart, care, and personal craftsmanship into this place. So many details throughout the hotel feel thoughtfully created and deeply personal, giving the entire property a unique warmth and character. Another thing worth mentioning is how impeccably maintained everything is. There is a rare sense of order, cleanliness, and attention to detail — “Swiss-level” tidy and organized. Everything feels harmonious, carefully looked after, and done with pride. This is truly a special place, and one we would gladly return to again.

Absolutely phenomenal stay. First off, the location is just exceptional - so much wildlife around, nestled in nature, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Truly a relaxing environment. Secondly, the accommodation is simply stunning - the sauna with a shower, super comfy beds, a wooden, proper Lithuanian cabin, so many wonderful little touches (sauna hats, complimentary slippers, hygiene kits, towels, extra blankets, coffee and tea, a fully functional kitchen). Lastly, the host is wonderful as well - she lives close enough and is on hand in case anything is needed. Extremely lovely with a beautiful doggo, made our stay very smooth. All in all, a real gem of an experience - 10/10, will be back as soon as possible.

We had a great time at Vastapo Vilos. Very friendly and accommodating owner, lovely view (especially at sunset), nice hot tub (kubilas) experience and the cold nature plunge in the lake.
