My dream finally came true to visit Monaco as I am a Grimaldi I have always wanted to visit a place of my heritage. Wear comfortable shoes & casual business attire clothing. The Opera de Monte Carlo is a must see!!! I absolutely loved Andrea Chénier by Umberto Giordano!!! Please contact the Opera House directly way in advance to inquiry about tickets as they sell out quickly. I don’t recommend driving a car to Monte Carlo as the parking is difficult & you can not drive into certain parts of the City. Bus or Taxi is best way to get around. Visit is a warmer season is best but I did enjoy it in the month of February. Also, shops are closed on Sunday. Monaco is a very safe place no need to worry about crime & violence. It’s a little piece of Heaven in the French Riviera!
We visited Monte Carlo as part of our Paris trip. It was the right thing to do. Monte Carlo is an amazing place, the city is beyond clean…the people were friendly and informative. A policeman even called a taxi for us when we we’re lost walking to our hotel from the Casino at 2 am.Highly recommend visiting Monte Carlo. It is very very safe. One restaurant we loved was the Ship and Castle, owners and staff are amazing and the food is very good. Monte Carlo is defiantly a must see. I bought a Lamborghini (sweater) there lol. The yachts and marina is stupendous. Go!!
The place is really a tourist spot with great views and restaurants here and there. I also like how it is small but big enough for walking. I would recommend the place if you wanted to feel luxurious with great scenery. It is kind of pricey but what can you expect when thats how they are marketing the place.
From the moment we walked in the service was appalling. The ONLY saving grace was the Concierge, who helped us - the only member of staff. The so-called Client Service Manager needs training. Our rooms were awful - wallpaper coming off, old, musty carpets, terrible outlook, no welcome gift but most of all the service was so bad. They kept us waiting for 45 mins for check-in and then said our rooms were not ready - even though we were there at 3 pm (check-in time). after a LONG journey. Not good. They knew it was my birthday (50th) and there was acknowledgment or apology. They treated us like 2nd class citizens. Not 5 start paying guests - £500.00 per room (for 2 rooms) - £1400 for 1 night! shocking
Lovely Hotel, staff very helpful & friendly, great location, Had a meal in the restaurant and the food was great. Hotel is so close to everything. Oceanographic museum is definitely worth a visit. For Formula 1 fans it’s amazing to “walk the track”even when the Grand Prix is not on. You can walk or take local bus to all places of interest.. we can highly recommend this hotel for a perfect stay in Monaco. Will definitely stay here again.
Monte Carlo is a fabulous place to visit and people watch. There are some great places to eat but advisable to book in advance. This was a bit difficult for us as we went for the tennis tournament so couldn't know what time to book for as there is no way of knowing what time the tennis would finish. The shopping is great and it is quite easy to get around by foot but a bit hilly in places.
Perfect location, excellent view of the Port Hercule and most of Monaco. We've been given an upgrade to the deluxe room which made our stay even more memorable. Friendly, happy and professional staff and very clean big comfy bedroom and bathroom. We had to pay extra for parking but it's expected in Monaco and the valet service was very professional. The hotel is a short walking distance from the Place du Casino and Casino Cafe de Paris, among other famous attractions.
A very good location near the food and transport hub of the Place d'Armes. The hotel is clean and without frills, good for a short stay. There is no lift and if other guest are in the slightest noisy in the corridors or their rooms your rest will be interrupted. Our bathroom was small but adequate. One of the few affordable hotels in Monaco.
This is in a great location for everything in Monaco. one of the main shopping areas is a block away and the entry to walk up to the castle/palace was also a block away ( and then it takes a while to walk up along the wall that separates the town and palace area.) Monte Carlo
This is my second time hiring the San Miguel and both times I have loved the experience. A stay anywhere on a boat is unique, but the fact that this one is in Monaco harbour makes it even more so. It is cozy, as comfortable as one would expect and a location that very few hotels could beat!
It is a classic Monaco place, valet parking, walking distance to Casino, Marina, etc. The on-site Michelin restaurant was awesome. Our room had a great view over the the Marina and the F1 track they were setting up.
Nice, quiet neighborhood, a bit far from the busy areas. Still, Monaco is too small to care that much. Friendly and polite staff, especially the valets. Nice view from the balcony. Good breakfast too.
The hotel was amazing in everything I could mention. The room, staff and most importantly the amazing location of the Fairmont Hotel was amazing. For sure me and my family will return very soon!
Excellent hotel. They location is near the train station and obviously within walking or bus of everything. Nice breakfast that is good for the price by Monaco standards. Would stay again.

It was a very central apartment in Monaco located close to the casino and attractions … cozy and confortable…. The host helped and advising a lot on good places, had great recommendations.
Staff was amazing, and almost everyone spoke very fluent English which was super helpful. One of the most beautiful hotels I’ve stayed in thus far.
