Absolutely amazing Hotel on the shore of one of the oldest lakes in the world (Prespa Lake). The views from the rooms, the atmosphere, the personel, the food are beyond expectations. Bonus: the fireplace on the beach in night while watching the stars. I would definitely come back again. Thank you for your hospitality.

Guest House Nakjoski is situated in a small village of Elshani, which stretches across the slopes of Mount Galičica. If you want to do some proper shopping, have dinner, or go for a swim in Lake Ohrid, you’ll need to head down to Peshtani, about a 3-km walk away. The walk down is perfectly manageable, but the way back up can be a challenge in hot weather. The road between Peshtani and Elshani is narrow and winding. All of this may sound like a bit of a hassle, but it’s also what makes the location feel so unique. The house itself overlooks Lake Ohrid, and the view from the terrace is simply breathtaking. Watching the sun set over the lake, with the surrounding mountains in the background, is one of those experiences that feels almost too beautiful to be real. Breakfast is included in your stay and is served between 7 and 9 AM. Every day, we were treated to an assortment of local products, including eggs (hard-boiled, fried, or scrambled), bread, ham and sausage, vegetables, fruit, yoghurt, marmalade, homemade baked treats, and a selection of hot and cold drinks. Smashing! Our apartment – a three-person room with a terrace – was bright, clean, and very comfortable. It had a large bed, wardrobe, small sofa with a coffee table, desk, fridge, tea and coffee-making facilities, and, of course, that astounding terrace. The Wi-Fi and air conditioning both worked perfectly. And last but certainly not least: the hostess. Martina is amazing! She is incredibly helpful with absolutely everything, whether you need directions, have questions about Macedonia or simply need to borrow a knife. She answered all our enquiries promptly and even kept messaging us to make sure everything was OK until we arrived safely home. That level of care really made a difference. And then there’s the bonus: a donkey and three adorable kittens, plus an abundance of wildlife in the surrounding area. You don’t even need to leave the property to take some fantastic photos of local animals!

We stayed for 3 nights with our 6-year-old daughter. The host, Viki, was incredibly hospitable and helpful. Our room and the entire guesthouse were very clean. In the mornings, we started the day with a magnificent lake view, nature, and Viki's perfectly adequate homemade breakfast. The guesthouse is very reasonably priced considering its facilities. You can only get here by car. If we ever have the chance again, we will definitely go. You will be very comfortable, we highly recommend it. Translate

Everything was better than these images. The property is perfect for your summer vacation, if you’re in love with clean air, quiet night and comfort above your limits. The hosts were the best you can imagine, you will feel better than home, with the most traditional breakfast, eggs from their own pasture chickens and the sound of the river and the mountain. Will recommend 1000 times.

We had a wonderful stay at Shoposki near Ohrid! From the moment we arrived, everything felt warm and welcoming. We slept incredibly well — the place is quiet, comfortable, and perfect to recharge. Breakfast was absolutely delicious, with fresh and high-quality ingredients. A great way to start the day! The hosts were friendly and attentive, making sure everything was just right without being intrusive. You can really feel the care and pride they put into this place. Highly recommended if you’re visiting the Ohrid area. We would definitely come back!

The host Anita she is so nice and hospitable. I liked this place so much. The breakfast was wonderful. We tried the dinner. We were full of delicious and big portion of meals. It deserved its price. If I come to Macedonia, it’s sure I will prefer them 😊
