The bed is great. The pillows and sheets are of great quality and feel nice/comfortable. Enjoyable terrace. It's located close to a supermarket, a beach (not great though), a bar, restaurants, and bus station. The bathroom is really small but the shower space is comfortable. Fridge OK but small. 3 European adapters + 1 European outlet!

Our first impression of the hotel was the amazing staff. The moment we arrived, Mahen, the hotel manager, greeted us with a warm welcome and made us feel comfortable in the hotel restaurant. The hotel itself is immaculate, and tastefully decorated and it generally gives off a more luxurious vibe than expected of a three-star hotel. Our room, while not the biggest hotel room ever, was perfectly clean and there was a beautiful towel arrangement on our bed since we were there for our honeymoon. The breakfast and the food in general were amazing. While the breakfast offer isn't as varied as in those big resort type hotels, it is delicious and you have got to try the crepes! Their pizzas are also great, as is the medium rare veal stake with the local creole sauce. The hotel swimming pool area is a perfect option if you want a chill day and for some reason can't go to the nearby Flic en Flac beach. This hotel and its amazing staff (special thanks to Mahen and the driver Kevin) will blow your socks off. The niceness of the staff is not them just being polite, you can feel the honesty behind their kindness and willingness to help you. It won't be long until you get that friendly feeling with the Seastar staff like you've known each other for years. When we left Mauritius, we were sad we had to leave the island, but also the staff of this wonderful hotel. You can also arrange every excursion with them and get recommendations for exploring this beautiful island! Don't miss the local sega music night in the hotel which happens every Saturday.

This hotel really surpassed my expectations! Every member of staff was so polite and friendly and most even knew my name and room number. Dinner and breakfast was from a set menu, unlike the buffet meals I had experienced at other hotels. The food was unbelievable (especially the beef tenderloin) and was a beautiful candlelit meal by the sea. I arrived late, after lunch had been served, and there was no food but the chefs were so kind enough to make something just for me The infinity pool overlooking the beach was beautiful and the beach is more private and quieter here making it my preference over the nearby flic en flac beach. A fantastic experience, would definitely recommend for a relaxing holiday by the sea! Thank you to all here for making my stay so memorable

This hotel is a real gem! New building in an amazing location just across from a lovely white sand beach in Flic en Flac. My room was HUGE and had a large balcony facing g the ocean. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful with lots of variety of food. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful!

    We liked the area close to the Riviere Noire Reserve and it...

    We liked the area close to the Riviere Noire Reserve and it was convenient for the quieter beaches on the south coast. We recommend a guided tour of the Ebony Forest Reserve. We had a fascinating day out with a very knowledgeable guide and saw a lot of birdlife; the views out to sea are also stunning. Be warned: driving in Mauritius is not easy, even with satnav! We got lost several times, especially around Port Louis. If you choose to go to Port Louis, we recommend using the local bus. There is a bus stop two minutes' walk from the apartment (shortly before London Way supermarket). You can pick up a bus at about 7.30 am and return on a 119 bus at 30 minutes past the hour from Immigration Square near the waterfront of Port Louis. If you want to eat out, the Happy Rajah restaurant on the main road serves good value Indian food. The fish thali is particularly tasty.

    lovely shopping complexes, boutiques, restaurants, and supermarket if you are self catering. Great place to tour around, for a heli-copter ride in the south to see the underwater waterfall, and go to the Ebony Forest

    The Riviere Noire area is quite busy and urbanised so it isn't a great location if you want to "get away from it all". However, it has some fabulous restaurants, cafes and bars along with useful shops Bed and breakfast hotel tariffs are a great option since you sample superb Mauritian cuisine away from the hotel. It is also a great location for visiting the Black River Gorge. The beach is OK but the stunning beaches at Le Morne and Flic en Flac are each a 15 minute drive away. Bonne Chute restaurant is excellent Also highly recommended - the cafes at Vanilla Village and Kumba

    Fantastic homestay! Baboo and his family made us very welcome. If requested they will make you a home cooked meal; highly recommend this, it was absolutely delicious! Good air con in each of the bedrooms, kitchen has all the utensils you need, hot water in the shower - bear in mind this is a local homestay and not a hotel though, which was totally fine for us but just highlighting. 5min walk to lovely coffee spot ‘Kind’, 10min walk from the supermarket, a few little cafe / restaurants dotted around with varying opening times.

    The place is a great value for money, located in the middle of the western coast - it allows to easily explore the most activities-packed area of Mauritius. The food for dinner was amazing (although breakfast are quite average). Great spot for a sunset watching

    Nice, small hotel on the beach with personality, nice people and relaxing atmosphere. You can have the breakfast / dinner under a wonderful tree, on the edge of the ocean. Picturesque. Good shower pressure (a rare feature in Mauritius).
