Never seen anything like this! The cabañas, the food, the sea & just everything is amazing. There is everything you need, even kayaks, snorkelling equipments, a volleyball and a fire place!!! Terexa runs this hotel with so much love & care, would come back every day! Thank you so much!

Everything was on point. The room was spacious and had a lot of light (a superior room or similar), a huge balcony, nice design to the room, comfy beds, the access to the beach felt as if it was a private one as it will take you 30 seconds from the room to get to the beach chair. The beach was nice, practically no seaweed (they have nets, important factor in Mahahual), not very crowded, should you want you can order food and drinks right on the beach etc. The hotel has a bar/restaurant downstairs with very good breakfast, drinks and food in general. The most important part, the people were just super professional and friendly. The guys at the restaurant and Jenny in reception. Thank you! Mahahual and Noah were perfect!

I don¥t really like beach club type of beaches so when I first arrived I found it too busy for my liking, but then I walked away from the busy part and found some amazing places which I had all to myself.

Mahahual was rundown and uncared for.

Mahahual was rundown and uncared for. For a tourist destination we noticed a lot of uncollected rubbish on the beaches and the tourist spots needed a refresh. It is highly recommended for diving as they have a reef but again the seaweed is a major problem and has not been tackled by the local authorities bearing in mind that swimming is the main activity there.

A quiet place with laid-back vibe.

A quiet place with laid-back vibe. Busy when cruise ships are in town, but they leave in the evening and the town is quiet at night. A good alternative to the crazy scene in Cancun, Cozumel or anywhere to the north. Snorkeling is not that good, but apparently the diving is good on the outer reef. The hotel's small freshwater pool was refreshing and the beach was cleaned and raked every day. Good birding too.

I really enjoyed the calmness of Mahahual!

I really enjoyed the calmness of Mahahual! Nice little beaches which feel more like a pool. If you are looking to Party, this is not the place to go. There are only a couple bars that put music at night, but it is no Tulum, Cancun or Playa del Carmen! It is more a town where you come to relax on the beach, snorkel and then chill on your balcony or on the beach while drinking calmly! I really enjoyed the chill vibe of the city! The little stores close early, but there are always grocery stores and restos that stay open later!

Aquastar was well located right on the Malecon. Easy walking distance to lots of restaurants. Yes, it was right on the beach; but, not an area nice enough to get into the water. Too much seaweed. You had to walk to a nice beach,

Nice fishermen's village with good restaurants.

Nice fishermen's village with good restaurants. Very rustic in terms of hotels and restaurants. The beach is clean and nice, clean water. However, it does suffer from the same problem of all beaches from Cancun up to here: lots of seawater. So cleaneless will depend how often they clean the seaweed. Overall is a place to go once; no need to return, but glad I went. Food cost can be expensive for what they are.

After a road trip accross Mexico we ended up rather by coincidence in this place. What a great surprise. Very well located right at the beach, large and lovely decorated rooms. And super friendly staff (and management). Also the restaurant (inside the hotel but under seperate management) was extremely pleasant with excellent food, served right on the beach. Super staff and management. So happy the have found the place. It is without doubt the best hotel and restaurant in Mahahual.

Please be aware that the beachfront of the accomodation can be full of seagrass (Sargassum). This made us decide to cancel our stay. The whole beach was covered and smelling. Even the sea water was brownish and unclear. If you do not want to get surprised and your stay being ruined upon arival, call the owner in advance to check the situation!

the perfect beach location. From your room door on your deck and in to the sand. From the beach you snorkel in less than 100 meters to the reef. Hughe room and bathroom. Good food. Amazing hotel near the beach. The view to the sea was incredible. We slept so well there everything was very neat and good quality. Also the receptionist lady that welcomed up was the sweatest.. Breakfast on menu was delicious. Thanks for the amazing experience
