What an amazing hotel! Close to Playa del Carmen, but still surrounded by jungle. It's only a 15 minute walk from Xcaret park, and they can help you book the tickets. The staf speaks excellent English and are extremely friendly. They gave us a lot of tips and even bananas to feed the monkeys! Breakfast is okay, dinner is good. They don't offer a lot of traditional Mexican dishes, but as we were travelling for 3 weeks already we didn't mind the international kitchen.

Xcaret Arte is an absolute masterclass of hospitality, culture, comfort and cleanliness. Literally the best holiday experience we have ever had! If you ever go, get a map of the site and thoroughly read the information provided, as there is so much to do and see that you will not want to lose out! Surrounded by Art and nature, whether it is painting, dancing, pottery, music, textiles, any of the associated parks included in the package, or any one of the many onsite pools there is always a possibility of activity. Our honeymoon holiday featured several superstars who made our trip unforgettable. Not only will you experience a genuine Mexican welcome but you also get a true sense of how each and every staff member is highly invested in maintaining the world class status of the facility. Our maid Rebeca had our room looking perfect each day and also showed great initiative in making sure we both had complimentary slippers of the correct size just by looking at our shoes! Luis and Luis at the rooftop pool in the Casa de la musica were absolute legends. There are also several top notch restaurants onsite that you should definitely book well in advance to avoid disappointment like Encanta. Aesthetically Xaak restaurant is unparalleled, and the decor is to die for! Their manager Marcela was incredibly helpful and her staff are amazing. Xaak also features a great tasting menu, and our waiter Raidel was a great help clearly explaining each dish as they arrived. The breakfast buffet at Cayuco is also a must see! Although the teppanyaki at Tah-Xido was entertaining, the A la carte dining experience from Chef Catalina was our favorite by far, made that much better through the support of the restaurant manager Arturo who helped us celebrate our honeymoon in fine style! Throughout the meal there was transcendent food, excellent service,and a balance of flavours, presentation, temperature and texture. Probably as close to masterchef or heaven as you would ever hope to get!

This place is exceptional and only short walk to private beach. I can't believe how relaxed this place made us feel so much so we stayed extra night. Only short taxi ride to amazing beach for snorkeling and diving.

stay at the hotel was excellent - we were after Christmas to New Year - great ... a magical place from the morning a swim in a small natural pool - obo the sea channel - a lot of fish, skates, and moray eels, in addition to thousands of fish. Morning swings in the water gave joy to the children - and peace, from the morning birds that sang - super missions - rooms modestly furnished but ok.

Beautiful hotel on top location with nice view over the calm sea. Nice bar, water around the bar is warm temperature. Other pools cold water. Spacious room with nice balcony. Best was location on gated community just 1 minute from the harbor where the dolphins were playing. Nice restaurants around the harbor, lot of choice (Thai, oriental restaurant was good), also Italian restaurant good). Very good breakfast, nice food at the bar, also sushi/sashimi, good prices. Nice calm sea for children. Dolphin Discovery, really nice.

Our host Danielle was amazing, she was available on any questions we had, and deal with them right away. The location was within walking distance to everything including the beach, the grocery store. The place has a lovely pool and an area to sit on the roof which was very nice. Our room had a large outside area including a comfy loveseat, two chairs and a coffee table. The bed in the room was very comfortable with soft sheet. We only needed to use the air conditioning at night, the room stayed very cool with the doors open, and the fan on, it was perfect temperature, even when it was 38° outside. I'd recommend this location.

We loved this location as we could snorkel to the beach directly from the patio. It was so peaceful and there were so many places to sit and take in the beautiful surroundings. The condo was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. The bed was one of the most comfortable we have slept in and the bed linen was top quality. The owner was very attentive and worked hard to keep his property maintained. What we particularly liked about this property was the use of the shared bikes as it meant we could bike for breakfast and dinner at the marina which is about a 25 minute walk. There are also 2 kayaks for free use to paddle around the lagoon which is great. We actually had 2 people kayak past us from the All Inclusive and mentioned we were the VIPs and that was just how we felt sat in the shade under the built pagoda.
