My stay here was great. The staff was very helpful, the beds are super comfy and the hostel is very clean! The owner Wenesa is so nice, she hosted a Wonton night and later she brought all of us to taste a local coconut wine.Highly recommend, you also get free breakfast :))

I felt very comfortable at Manhattan Hotel. The staff is very friendly, with a special shoutout to the gentleman who is taking care of the breakfast. Very sociable and friendly. Also the room was nice; nothing too fancy, but everything you need, including a fridge and a closet to hang your clothes. When I asked for a few extra coathangers it was no problem and delivered soon. There're lots of places to eat around the Hotel and about 15 minutes walking there's a huge Aeon Mall. I had a great time. Thank you so much.

Ipoh is about food, the limestone caves, temples and more food! If this is your first time here, a minimum 2 nights stay is required. You can spend the entire day in town exploring areas around concubine lane (must see book xcess), there are many cafes and small shops to feast your eyes/tummy with. Then spend another day exploring the temples and caves/mountains. Checkout the Perak Turf Club market, kopitiams for food and Ipoh white coffee (chicken horfun is a must).

Peaceful town with great food which could be quite congested...

Peaceful town with great food which could be quite congested during school or local public holiday. Visiting old town centre is a must to appreciate the old time tin mining town. Nearby attraction is Tasek Cermin which is worth a visit during non-peak time as parking could be a challenge

For me, Ipoh is a nostaligic town, a place where I was born...

For me, Ipoh is a nostaligic town, a place where I was born and grew up. There is the new and the old town area; and famous for its eatery shops. It's obviously much cheaper than KL. There are interesting places to visit in Ipoh; depending on your liking. 2/3 nights was enough stay for me and move on to other towns. Do enjoy yourself in Ipoh!

We chose a rental car for the first to days so that we could visit the out of the way places such as the cave temples and other locations of our choice but then used Grab for the Old Town points of interest.

Lots to see, do and eat. Many excellent food outlets. Heritage architecture has been mostly well-preserved and still in use. Ipoh makes for a good base to visit nearby small towns and explore outdoor attractions. Road maintenance could do with improvement.

Modern hotel in new town. We had a standard twin and it was very small for 2 people. Not much space so we didn’t bother unpacking!. Noisy toilet cistern. But safety deposit, mini fridge, good AC and wifi, and shower good. Clean too. Staff pleasant and helpful. It’s a bit far out from the few sights there are in Ipoh, and if you are walking in the sweltering heat, you might want something closer to the old town. However the hotel is clean, with pleasant staff and the breakfast was okay.
