The staff were very friendly and helpful. Amazing recommendations for places to eat and visit were given. I am very grateful to the lady serving breakfast on my last morning who made my breakfast quickly and to-go because I was in a hurry to catch a train. The hostel was very clean and organized. Laundry was available, and there was even a hanging rack. Towel for shower was provided.

The roads were so easy to drive on!

The roads were so easy to drive on! Lovely people and and great restaurant foods! We didnt enjoy the local foods as much - maybe due to different palettes preferences! WE did enjoy Kellie's Castle, STG Tea House and Pusing Chinese Seafood restaurant! The beautiful trees that lined the roads are just so beautiful.

Not much progress in this town.

Not much progress in this town. Absolutely shock picked up by a beaten old rusty dirty (inside and outside) Taxi Grab car that did not look road worth. Driver so old that refused me-an 80 years old lady to lift my medium size luggage bag into the car boot. He was afraid he might hurt himself by lifting. Luckily I only booked to stay for 2 nights. Could not get out of this town fast enough. The only good experience is the 'Old Town White Coffee experience' top mark to that one.

Ipoh is always a good place for resting.

Ipoh is always a good place for resting. This place is filled with nature beauties as well as scrumptious foods. Not a busy place, so no worries of pollutions as in big city. You could access to many facilities and yet still enjoy great amount of sceneries, delicious foods & beverages and very friendly locals.

Its a young energetic town with lots going on.

Its a young energetic town with lots going on. The food is great and shopping interesting - new designers and little India were my favourites. I would go for a long weekend with a couple of 20/30 something friends.

I never miss going to Wan Mee Kari ( Mee kari Kak Yah).

I never miss going to Wan Mee Kari ( Mee kari Kak Yah). I also love to go to the pasar tani@ Silibin where you can get Patin and Baung and other 'kampung' produce and traditional kuehs too. Concubine Lane is interesting too. Love the homemade ice-cream there and the assortment of nuts sold by a young entrepreneur. There are a few nasi kandar restaurants which are good but Penang's still the best.

The temples tour and white water rafting in Gopeng were a...

The temples tour and white water rafting in Gopeng were a highlight. Make sure you download Grab as it's not so easy to get around without it. The bus station is a fair distance from the city, the train station is more centrally located. The night market was a bit of a disappointment. The historic town centre was more scenic but touristy, super busy at the weekend. The book vault was interesting and the iced white coffee is amazing.

Modern hotel in new town. We had a standard twin and it was very small for 2 people. Not much space so we didn’t bother unpacking!. Noisy toilet cistern. But safety deposit, mini fridge, good AC and wifi, and shower good. Clean too. Staff pleasant and helpful. It’s a bit far out from the few sights there are in Ipoh, and if you are walking in the sweltering heat, you might want something closer to the old town. However the hotel is clean, with pleasant staff and the breakfast was okay.

the property called itself a 5 star hotel but it is not even a hotel. this is false advertising. it listed 24 hour front desk but there is only a security guard there. booking.com should not condone and allow the property to mislead it's patrons. i believe my request for refund is justified as this is cheating. however, i am disappointed with booking.com as well as it is not helping but passing it's patron back to the property who is not even bother to entertain the refund request.

Good Hotel location, 2km to Ipoh Central town, 20minute drive to Meru Raya (Mydin & Amanjaya Bus Station). Aircond perfect, toilet clean. perfect, will repeat stay at here if visit Ipoh, Value for Money. perfect budget hotel for people have meeting at ipoh (hotel for sleep). cause i am short trip for 4 day, working from 8am - 10pm, hotel for me is for sleep only night time dinner have Tom Yam restaurant infront hotel. morning can take breakfast beside hotel

Stayed in a spacious premium suite with a clean and large bathroom with 2 sinks. The noise level from the room was acceptable as it was not a busy road. The hotel is conveniently located; it’s a 5 mins walk to Aeon mall and 15-20mins cab ride to old town and Ipoh Parade. For the price, it’s worth it.
