Hotel in Hamar
Set in central Hamar, this hotel offers free WiFi and cable TV. Views over Lake Mjøsa are possible from this hotel as well. Hamar Central Station is150 yards away. Breakfast at Victoria Hotel was always the highlitght of the day. Amazing start to the day with such an amazing Breakfast: high its high quality menu and friendly Breakfast service from staff. With reference to the location of Victoria Hotel, I must say it is absolutely idyllic located at the heart of Hamar city within short walking distance from the train station and bus station and everything else around is at hand. The room was cozy considering it was a single bedroom and they have made the most of every space. My room had a lovely view over the Mjosa lake and that itself was priceles, despite the rainy days. But I have made Victoria Hotel my second home as I travel frequently to Hamar all the way from sunny Gran Canaria. Honestly, I would not change Victoria Hotel for any other hotels in the area, precisely because of its location, comfort, and extraordinary guest service. All staff are very friendly and welcomuing. I appreciate the small details - Victoria Hotel always lives up to my expectations. In short: Victoria Hotel is always my first, second and third choice.

Hamar
Set on a hill overlooking the Hamar area, Hedmarktoppen offers cottages, apartments and rooms in peaceful surroundings. Hamar city center is a 7-minute drive away. The place is nice and I’m sure the other cabins function properly but it was annoying to lose all the food we had bought due to the fridge being broken. Nice staff and area is lovely.

Add fresh berries and a sunset view from the garden.
Kylstad (Near Hamar)
Located in Kylstad in the Innlandet region, Kylstad Bed and Breakfast features a garden. Lovely host, and very spacious and great for three adults. All comforts and loads of charm.
Hamar is a clean and friendly city. It is the home of Kirsten Flagstead, the celebrated Wagnerian soprano. Her childhood home is a museum and takes you back to another era . For sports lovers, the speed skating ring which hosted the olympics is definitely worth visiting. Local speed skaters and champions train in the afternoon and anyone is allowed to watch for a small fee.
The town is very nice, but not that "Norwegian Pearl" kind of town...most famous for it's railway museum, there is not that much to see in the town itself. You find many good restaurants and bars in the downtown area and a big shopping center with lots of good stores and places to eat. The thing that I notice the most was that there was a lot of people that still pee out on the street - a lot (a lot!) of marks in the morning, everywhere (disgusting) - I was very disappointed to see such a nice and clean town with people that still has this bad behaviour! ( this was from a Wednesday to a Sunday... and It was made by people, not dogs, ok? ) Very sad to see.
We were on a genealogical quest and found all the staff of the library, the National Archives of Norway (Hamar), the Emigration Museum, the Hedvig Museum, the staff of the buses and trains very friendly and helpful. We also explored the main church, and the old Cathedral under glass, went to Lillehamar and CC if Hamar for shopping ( this last was great in the heat wave which hit Europe this summer as there was air conditioning )
The hotel staff was pleasant and supporting. The hotel location is very close to the highway, so it is comfortable in case of further travelling. The hotel has it's own car parking. The breakfast was quite good. The town is around 5km away and it can be reached by walk or car. The TV in the room is nicely prepared to be connected with any of the personal electronic devices (e.g. PC or phone). Check-in and check-out were smooth and fast.
Breakfast was good and included a varied choice of warm and cold dishes. The room fee includes dinner that was delicious and plenty for our little family as you get a salad, one soup and one main dish in a buffet style. The staff was very nice and helpful in organising a birthday cake for my husband. Hamar is a small city but this hotel would be the best location to spend a few nights in the area.
Hamar
Breakfast was decent. Very nice persons working at this hotel. It was really hot in the room, like +30 degrees when I entered. The host was helpful and solved it by turning the heat down, but still it was very hot in the room.
Beautiful view over Mjøsa, we got the room on fifth level of hotel what was very lovely.
nice beautiful hotel
