We had rented a car from Bergen to drive around the fjords and decided to stopover for a night in Leikanger. Other than the location, this hotel has not much to recommend it. Walking down the hallway towards the rooms, one gets a distinct impression that this hotel feels like a budget hotel. This impression gets stronger as one enters the room - from the worn out look of the carpets, furnishing, wall, bathroom and old time TV set. Breakfast the next day was just average at best. And to top it all, the room was way too expensive for what you get, especially in the off season.
