The owner are very kind and helpful, the room cozy and nice (the mountainview is amazing!) and the location great. We loved staying in the village. We had the chance to get to know the Nepal village life. We have seen how the traditional masks were made and came in contact with a lot of locals. A few shops are inside this little city so we could buy everything we needed and we walked just two minutes to a nice temple. From Changu it took us around 20 minutes by bus until we were in Bhaktapur.

Bissi and Awal are the most amazing team and really felt like family, we were so sad to leave! Great area, if you’re not a fan of big cities then it’s a good distance away from central Kathmandu that you get the quiet, and Bhaktapur is full of culture and beauty. Good kitchen facility, clean and lots of cool seating areas too. Awal is also amazing with information, and questions about anything, then you’re covered. Great great place. P.s. it can get a little cold at night so make sure you have lots of cosy clothes

I felt very well cared for during my stay. They gave me directions over and over again, and advice on navigating my way through town. They put out my clothes to dry and folded them without any expectation. They were both very warm, respectful, and accommodating. The food was excellent and both Ganesh and his wife went beyond my expectations to make sure I had a good time in Bhaktapur and in Nepal.

Offering a restaurant, Mayur Restaurant that serves Indian and regional cuisines, Peacock Guest House is located 100 metres from the City Centre. Amazing hotel located in ancient building 15 century. Ceiling are not high and floor is vibrating when you go through the room - these action takes you back to that times. At the same time room looks very nice and cozy. It was so nice to have a heater and electro-sheet to warm up our bed as we stayed in hotel in winter time. Breakfast is really big and tasty. Also coffee was pretty good, what is hard to find in Nepal. Perfect location!
