Had multiple room booked, This property has a lot of history and heritage. Morden yet well kept Nepali tradition. Staff was amazing, customer service was spot on. Rooms where very clean and comfortable. No where in downtown Kathmandu you will find massive gardens to relax. The property is well far from the Main Street so less road noise and horn. Breakfast selections was very good.

Kathmandu is definitely not for everyone, but I really like it. I have been there before, and liked it last time too. There is a ton of stuff to see and do, it is really inexpensive for Western Travelers, and the food is excellent. On the flip side, Kathmandu is also insanely chaotic with crazy traffic and air pollution. It is a very poor country, and it shows everywhere from the strange tangles of wires hanging from the telephone poles, piles of building material lying about, unpaved streets and run-down appearance of many of the neighborhoods. If you are unfamiliar with this you might be put off by it. But if you are a world traveler it isn't really any different than any other exotic place, and Kathmandu is very exotic. It has such a cool vibe to it that I highly recommend you try it, and try to understand it. The people, despite their poverty all seem very happy and content, and they are so nice and kind- It is another world, but one you should not be afraid to embrace.

Capital city of Nepal. Little crowded then other place but people are visiting this place from all over the world. People start their tour from here and go for trekking, or extreme sports to other parts of the country.

Kathmandu is central to reach all other places around you...
Kathmandu is central to reach all other places around you shouldn't miss out. Nepal is much more than simply trekking to the mountains. It has many medieval villages like Bakthapur really worth going. Newary cuisine is simply the best so do not miss out if you find a real Newary place in Bakthapur and look for a guide called Bablu who is original from there and will take you to "real" places. The south also has enormous national parks where you can see wildlife. Monasteries are simply everywhere. Just a practical advice: do not drink tap water and carry grapefruit seed oil and probiotics in your trip. You will need them no matter how careful you are.
Exceptionally clean and newly renovated hostel in Thamel Kathmandu . Dorm rooms, bathrooms are extremely clean. Toiletries, Towel, and other utilities are available abundantly. Budget hostel/ hotel for all range of Visitors . It can easily compete in terms of service and and quality with any luxurious hostel in Thamel. Centrally located and many tourists sites are in walking distance . Staff at front desk are so friendly and respectful.
If you're looking for budget friendly options then this is the place.
Mr. Abbas who takes care of the guests is very helpful and kind, even Mr. Pandey who's the owner of the hotel will guide you if you need any assistance.
Thamel market is just a 5min walk from the hotel and has a lot of eateries.
Best location. While in the midst of the hussle in Thamel, the hotel is slightly tucked away and quiet. The hotel room/ and bathroom is very pleasing and comfortable. The friendly staff is always helpful and looks after you well.
I was fortunate to get a free upgrade.
Thank you Hotel Jampa
A nice and quiet hotel in a internal street at Thamel. Easy to find. Brand new, fully equipped and spacious with a very nice staff. I also note that Aftab, the morning receptionist, booked me a taxi to the airport by 4h30 A.M. with the best and fair rate possible.
