Kathmandu is a very special place to experience Nepali culture. The people are very friendly and the history, religion, art, festivals and culture of the place are very special and worth experiencing. There is also great shopping if you like handicrafts, textiles, wood carving, Buddha statues, Buddhist paintings and hand crafted metal objects. If you stay in Kathmandu it is worth spending time in Boudhanath which has a large and ancient stupa. There is also a lot to see in Patan and Bhaktapur which are historic towns next to Kathmandu with ancient temples and architecture and artisans at work.

Good range of interesting activities but sadly the weather did not cooperate forcing me to cancel my two most looked forward to activities, everest flight and sunrise hike..rain rain rain.
Traffic is kaotic but the drivers I had were safe and unbelievably able to negotiate the kaos.
Was surprised at the quality of the hotel given the general appearance of building and the state of the roads

I've had the time of my life here in Kathmandu!
I've had the time of my life here in Kathmandu! From indulging in delicious food and drinks, to experiencing the vibrant nightlife, exploring ancient heritage sites, embracing the beauty of nature, and hiking through scenic trails—it’s been an unforgettable adventure. To top it all off, I enjoyed a peaceful and mind-relaxing stay at a hilltop retreat, where the stunning mountain views offered the perfect escape. This trip has been the perfect blend of excitement and tranquility!

Surprisingly clean city (especially felt it as I am from Delhi). No one honks on the road and for a person coming from Delhi feels so good. People are very friendly and welcoming. Cool weather. Mountains around the city look beautiful. Did not face any traffic congestion during my stay, again so much different from what I experience in my own home city. Indian currency is stronger than the Nepal currency and therefore Indian citizens can enjoy the benefit of that. No visa required and that makes visiting Nepal so much easier.

I like this hotel's roof top with a private room suitable for both single and couple. The hotel's front desk office staff were really enthusiastic and helpful during my stay.
Great location in the heart of Kathmandu city best for planning city tour and sightseeing around the valley.
I am returning to stay in this hotel.
I recommend this hotel to those who are looking for great hospitality and best staying in budget friendly plan.
Everything from room comfort to support from staff with great value .. there is a super breakfast choice and a trekking agency on site to support the large choice of activities that you can do across Nepal .., really exceptional friendly home from home
I have stayed in many thamel hotels and this was the best by far.. highly recommend and I will visit again in the future .. thank you to Narayan and his staff
The hotel has all the required facilities: restaurants, a swimming pool, etc. The staff were extremely nice and helpful. Any coordination problem is readily solved. Even though the hotel is a bit far away from the main tourist area (Thamel), the taxis in Nepal are abundant and cheap. Thus, it is easy to arrive everywhere. Breakfast is great. The service in the restaurants is excellent.
A nice and quiet hotel in a internal street at Thamel. Easy to find. Brand new, fully equipped and spacious with a very nice staff. I also note that Aftab, the morning receptionist, booked me a taxi to the airport by 4h30 A.M. with the best and fair rate possible.
