Amazing house, with everything you need to cook, and many games, books and puzzles to have a good time (and super comfy bed). Spacious living room and balcony to relax after hiking; hiking trails literally at your door steps, but also many others at short driving distances. Extremely friendly and helpful hosts. A little paradise, with great views!

This was a very spacious house (there were just two of us) which was a nice change on a whirlwind trip changing locations almost every night. Full kitchen, laundry, nice outdoor space.

Excellent location! Great view from the deck towards the mountains with the llamas grazing in front. For breakfast there were cornflakes, homemade granola, milk, yoghurt and peaches. The granola was delicious! The room was spacious and had everything we needed. Added bonus were the train tracks running right next to the accommodation (if you enjoy trains, but if not don't worry, there's not a lot of trains per day so it won't get too noisy).

Helen made the stay the best. She greeted us upon arrival. We included dinner in our stay which was delicious and helpful since there are not many food options around the area. She is very generous to offer her personal home to travelers. We were recommended a hike that happened to be at the end of her street. The views from her house are amazing. A wonderful experience.

After 2 weeks driving around South Island and a beautiful drive through Arthur's Pass, this was the perfect place to stay before flying out to Australia. The airport was only an hour's drive away. We were so pleasantly surprised to have such spacious accommodation. One bedroom, a nice living and dining area and a roomy kitchen with all the utensils you could want! It would be a lovely place to stay in for a week or more. The bed and pillows were comfortable. We highly recommend it. We were in Unit 1, the Standard Motel Unit, which is part of a converted home.

It's a must stay on your way when crossing the Arthur's pass. The rooms are simple, but everything is clean. The kitchen and living room are really cool and have an old school vibe. Baths and toilets are also clean .Loved it. There's also a great coffee shop on the other side of the road for the flatwhite lovers.

Overall beautiful and well kept Bach although it's a lot more than just a Bach. An amazing and luxurious place to stay. Was amazing getting in and having the fire lit and warming the house. An amazing account of space. My wife and kids loved staying and wish we were able to stay longer. We didn't get to meet the hosts but they made everything easy. Highly recommend staying here if you can. Thanks heaps
