SwitzerlandThis was our best accomodation in New Zealand! The room and bathroom are fantastic, everything you need and more is there and it's very clean and tidy. Fobbie is an incredible host, she even showed us around her farm. The two Border Collies are playful and trusting, they would have ran around with us all day.

I would recommend the Upper Hutt Cosmopolitan Club to all visitors.
The staff were friendly and accommodating which is nice when its your first visit to Upper Hutt. The spacious outdoor 'vaping' area had a wall heater at the table I chose to sit at.
The Arcadia restaurant situated indoors provides a meal for all tastes and the food is yummy! The streets are full of bakeries, takeaways and restaurants to suit all palates in the main town. My daughters shopped at PaknSave for our groceries. Overall, its a pleasant area, tidy and lots of trees.

We were visiting relatives who lived nearby. The Train to the city was easy and efficient. Lovely walking areas along the Hutt river. Many takeaway food options.
Absolutely first rate accomodation options in Oliver Place Trentham. Exceptional value for money.

Upper Hutt was a bit lack lustre, in terms of dining out, shopping and must do attractions. There needs a big push to promote activities from the locals to encourage out of towners to want to visit Upper Hutt.

Upper Hutt is a growth area.
Upper Hutt is a growth area. Being right next to the ranges it is cold in Winter but I would argue the Summers are warmer than Wellington because the Wairarapa which is warm is on the other side of the rangers

View and area so peaceful.
View and area so peaceful. House so beautiful inside and out. Spacious rooms 2 bathrooms everything you need is there. Recommend to all. Close to parks and Shops and to Motorway. 10mins drive to Upper Hutt Shopping Centre.

Fantastic location, secluded and very beautiful situated on the banks of the Akatarawa river, but only a short distance outside Upper Hutt and within easy reach of Wellington. Surrounded by gardens and orchard, with spa pool on the terrace outside and well-appointed kitchen. The host Mary was incredibly welcoming and even brought us fresh baked cake and coffee, which more than made up for the rough patch of weather we encountered on our weekend there. Absolutely recommend this exceptional place, and would definitely go back there again.

Myself and my family were in Upper Hutt for my nanas funeral, and this stay made a sad day just that little bit better....we thank you so much for that! Your home is amazing and we will definitely be back hopefully for more than one night next time 😊
