It is a beautiful hotel. Keep in mind that a 4- or 5-star hotel in the Philippines are somewhat lower. This surprised us in many aspects. The best? 1) That the location is outside the center of El Nido in an authentic community 2) The food. I was afraid that I have read that the food is great but is of exact amount. We do not agree with those comments. It is true that it is designed for appetizer, main course and dessert. I believe that the owners are Spanish and Filipino that's why the proportion of the food is according to these cultures. They cook with good water and olive oil and the dishes do not exceed 10$ and it is super quality. We have enjoyed the food and repeated several dishes and wines. 3) The natural environment where you feel really connected with. 4) The private tours crafted just for you 5) Massages are exceptional 6) Game areas and pool offers enjoyment It is a place for the lovers of nature, books and exclusive services. A 10 to staff. We will be back for sure. They only have 7 cottages and as much as we want to stay for another couple of nights, sadly we can't because they are fully booked.

In my travels, I have not found a property like this that hits on all of the marks and delivers a very high beauty to price ratio. I arrived at Sunset and immediately fell in love with the property. Hi marks all around.

We absolutely loved everything about our stay at Namal! The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating throughout our entire trip. A huge highlight for us was the food; my partner is vegan, and the team went above and beyond to ensure there were delicious, plant-based options available for breakfast every morning. The rooms were consistently spotless and very comfortable. The location is the perfect balance: it’s close enough to the center to hop on a scooter or tricycle, yet far enough away to be peaceful in the evenings. It was lovely to just chill by the pool after a day out. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip to El Nido!
