Just 15 minutes’ walk from Saint-Pierre town center, this B&B in Saint-Pierre and Miquelon offers a nonsmoking environment. Free Wi-Fi is available in all rooms. Josette was very kind and helpful. we really appreciated and enjoyed her breakfast of fresh pastries each morning.
Appartement bord de mer is located in Saint-Pierre. Complimentary WiFi is provided throughout the property. we really enjoyed the owner and his family. the Arnaud was amazing. He took us places and picked us up when we were done. He made us amazing French breakfasts. Arnaud was very informative and helped us choose our itinerary. He went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. I WOULD definitely recommend this place. Arnaud helped us really experience the French culture and food.
Offering garden views, Abbie's Garden Bed & Breakfast in Grand Bank has accommodations, a bar, a garden and barbecue facilities. I have never felt more welcome. To the flower gardens stunning , to the fire pit in the evening , to the owners Donna and Bruce. This cottage had everything a shared utility room, fridge,washer/ dryer/ coffee. Bruce has thought of everything. My room had Air conditioning. Best mattress ever. The breakfast was fabulous. If you are going to be down to Grand Bank this B&B has everything. I have never been made to feel so at home. Bruce, is some good cook. I am with family and still talking about that night sleep and your cooking. Thank you see you on the way out.
It is a lovely place but be sure to make your reservations ahead. Folks with mobility issues should plan carefully and possibly best to stay down near the water. Beware of closed stores and the only place in town that you don’t require a reservation on a Sunday,( Josephine’s) may be too busy to serve you!
Visiting St. Pierre was a must for me. I booked my arrival and departure flights and lodgings before any aspects of my visit to Newfoundland and later Nova Scotia. Its a rare example of a current French overseas possession and is steeped in history. The people are very friendly and acknowledge the efforts it takes to arrive there. I found the high quality of food and wine a great bonus after five days in Newfoundland. A wonderful little place to add to your travels. Use Stevie of Frenchies Tours for all your tourist needs.
Unique place in North America - a French island with 400 years of French culture and history. Very friendly people. You can explore the whole island in a day or two. With another day or two, you can go over to Miquelon and Iles-aux-Marins, too. Out of the way place, but actually easy to get to.
St Pierre et Miquelon is a gorgeous little French Jewel just off the coast of Newfoundland. Its authentic and the food is to die for. Chez Alain had the best Kebab pizza I've ever had and Les Feu de Braise have a duck dish with Foie Gras that absolutely blew my mind. The island is pricey so make sure to bring enough euros even though most places accept Canadian dollars too. Recommended tours: Frenchis tours.
