Nice suburb to live in but not for vacation. Too far away from everything and the whole area closes down early if you do find something to do. The beach we spent time on is definitely not the nicest beach in PR.I won’t stay in Dorado again. If you don’t play golf everyday don’t bother staying in Dorado. There is a really good restaurant “El Ladrillo” in Dorado. Charming service, quirky yet elegant decor, and delicious food and wine! Definitely go if you are in the area!
Not sure how sterilized the rooms are. I always wipe the remote control and other surfaces we tend to touch even before the pandemic. The lysol towelette turned black when we wiped the remote in the bedroom even though it had been wrapped in a plastic wrapper...
the town was nice the people were friendly. The restaurant Grapa was very good. There needs to be more Federal government aid. The effects of Hurricane Maria are still very visible. Everything could use a fresh coat of paint.
Pretty little area. The beaches were nice. Had some good restaurants. They don't seem to be too accepting of mainland tourists there. Not sure they get very many there. I would definitely go to a more tourist friendly location next time.
Dorado City in Puerto Rico offers great hotels with all the goodies of a city in a beach setting. Great beaches, excellent restaurants, stores, anything you need you have it just within minutes of distance. Peaceful beautiful city...
If you are staying at the resort try to get out and see some of the town and the locals. Don't shelter yourself within those friendly walls. Lots of great food and sites and beaches and people to meet in the local area.
