Just a 5-minute walk from the beach, this hotel and restaurant is 4 km east of the center of Hatillo. It offers a landscaped outdoor pool and free Wi-Fi. The room wasn't fancy, but clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful. It was a good location to venture to the observatory and other sights nearby. The nearby restaurant was convenient and the food was good. Really good coffee.

The Hill Inn at 681 Ocean Drive is a 3-star property located in Arecibo. Featuring a garden, the 3-star hotel has air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi, each with a private bathroom. Angel, the hostess was very attentive and responsible. The place is old, not luxury but very clean. The AC works awsome. The linen needs updating, they are clean but a bit worn. Overall good, happy experience.
Featuring a restaurant, Cavernas Guest House is located in Quebrada. The guesthouse has both free WiFi and free private parking. The owner was really nice. He also gave us local cheese. Large apartment. Location is strategic, close to several attractions, like cavernas de Camuy (closed when we were there) Arecibo observatory, gozadera falls, caffe lareño.
We came to Hatillo for business. We found that many of the stores in the malls were closed. We also found the wait time and service in the banks and credit unions inferior. Although we had transactional business in 4 banking institutions, we were denied access to the rest room in the First Bank of Hatillo. We waited an hour and a half to be serviced in another of the banks. We were very disappointed with the service we received at the four banking institutions we visited.
There was a cool lighthouse experience with a small Aquarian. A lot history of the migration of people to the island. The are caves to explore that were made my the Tiano Indians just be aware it was hard to get through climbing large rocks. There is a kids waterpark also near by. Tons of food trucks and kioskos with great Puerto Rican food. We had family there so it was a great time for us.
- Meal was very good. - No handicap parking available. - Ramp inside the hotel for handicap are narrow and uncomfortable to drive a scooter. - Room was ok but smelled cigarette even though it was an non smoking room.
The hotel i stayed at did not have hot water, internet access on my floor, small towels, even smaller soap, no shampoo, etc. Was I to complain? After what the wonderful pepole of Puerto Rico went through with the recent hurricane, I had no reason to complain about my minor issues which by comparison we’re insignificant. I would go baca to the same venue in a heartbeat.
Centrally located for travel and sightseeing anywhere along the North half of the island. If you take the time to research the area there is plenty to do and some amazing places to eat in town or bordering town's. My restaurant recommendations are El Buen Cafe in Hatillo and El Almendro and Tony's Barbeque (both in Camuy, one town over).
The Rio Camuy Caves are quite beautiful and there is much to see for a full one day stay. I recommend the location to get a good idea of the diversity of experiences Puerto Rico has to offer the traverer..
